Allyn in Titan's World

Allyn is almost always by himself, playing video games or watching movies and anime alike. ...Apparently, he loves fantasy worlds filled with Apocalyptic events. A world where you can be whatever you choose. His dreams were granted when a new addictive Virtual Reality game got released for a limited time and die-hard gamers fell in love with it almost instantly. Allyn is among the few fortunate ones who got their hands on it right on time. At long last, he'll get to experience his fantasies... However, what will you do when all of a sudden, the game system got hacked and you are unable to log out? When you're stuck in an artificial reality where death is not an option, cause that will lead to you dying in the real world? To escape this mental trap, the ultimate game quest is to assassinate the most powerful Titan in all history, the one who is known as Lord of all Titan. Allyn's ultimate goal is to make it back to his world no matter what it takes. However, the longer he's stuck here, the more he forgets he has a real-world to return to. . . . My novel isn't exactly what I would call great since this is my first time writing a novel that is centered on video games, but it gets better the further you go. Maybe around its 20th chapter or earlier... you'll be the judge of that. The cover page is not mine... please, don't get pissed if this belongs to you.

System Error?

"Damn! is this your home?" Allyn asked, he is taken aback by the sight of this facility.

Unlike skyscrapers, this building is more spacious in width other than height. This gave it a more special outlook, completely different from anything you've ever seen. It also has multiple paved roads connected to it from different directions.

"No, that's not mine, it's the other one over there," says CrockFace as he points into the distance.

"It's... small,"

"Yeah, it is,"

Unlike the eye-catching facility that got Allyn's attention, this one looks more like a bunker, it's nowhere close to looking good. However, it still makes little sense of how someone could break into this place and steal his products.

They walked closer to their destination and the door opens up automatically, giving them access to the building. Unlike the outer look of CrockFace's place, the inner part wasn't as bad looking, it is, in fact, a lot better on this part of the building.

"I built this place myself if you are wondering," CrockFace said.

"How long did that take?" Allyn asked.

"Well, with a little help from friends, not too long," says CrockFace as he walks towards the somewhat electric door. He puts down his password on which the electric door opens up and both he and Allyn went in.

"Your password is CrockFace?"

"Yeah, is that a problem?"

"Of course that's a big problem,"

"How?"

"Using just your name as your password is very weak and anyone could gain access to your home," Allyn facepalm.

"You think that's the reason I'm getting robbed all the time?"

"Yeah, exactly... or it's just one reason,"

"I see... What do you think I should do, then?"

"Reset your password to a stronger one, or better still, since you have the technical skill as a mechanic, you could forge a better security tech."

The elevator door opens up, revealing the underground room. In this area, there are several AI robots, a few of them are busy with constructing whatever project that was handed to them.

"These are my assistants, as you can see," says CrockFace.

"Hi, it's nice to meet you, Mr. Allyn," one of the AI robots with wheels legs said and extended its metal hand for a shake.

"How do you know my name?"

"It is levitating right about your head," says the AI.

"Right." Allyn, for a minute, may have forgotten how the virtual world works.

"Now let's talk,"

CrockFace had a stern expression, and Allyn could tell things were about to get serious.

"Please sit, make yourself at home,"

Allyn did as he was told... "Alright, how do I find these burglars?" Allyn asked.

One of the AI robots who had a tablet in its possession made a gesture on the screen of the tab. As a result, eight photos of different players appeared on Allyn's interface and also on a large computer that was hanged in the room.

These players' display names are: Demon_Lord, Warrior-King, Zack, BullHead, Buttcheek, Metal_Face, Lightning, and of course, Hellish_Freak.

Allyn had an eyesore with the name called; Buttcheek (a weird name indeed.)

"Many of these players are stronger than you are," says CrockFace.

"Yeah, that's why I may not be of help to you,"

"Wrong... it's another reason I brought you with me," CrockFace said with a smile... A creepy smile due to his looks.

"What do you mean?" asked Allyn.

"Bring it over," CrockFace spoke to one of his robots, "My newest creation," he added.

"You can't be serious," from the AI's tone, you can tell how surprised it was.

"It's the best way to get our products back, so bring it over," CrockFace insisted.

"As you wish," says the AI and walks away.

"What is it?"

"You'll find out in a minute," says CrockFace.

The AI came with a tiny box and handed it to CrockFace.

"Hey, place it on your chest," says CrockFace as he removed a small round tech and gave it to Allyn.

"Ok?" Allyn did as he was told and the tech unexpectedly stuck to him like glue.

"Stand on your feet," CrockFace suggested, and Allyn followed suit.

"Now give it a light tap," says an AI robot.

"Whoa,"

The moment Allyn did as he was told, his entire body immediately got enclosed by a mech suit that tightly fits him.

"I call it 'Mana Suit," says CrockFace with pride. "This is one of the few techs I've created that can make use of spiritual energy," he added.

"I put a lot of emphasis on its Spirit Damage,"

"Spirit damage?"

"Damage that is inflicted with the use of Magical energy," CrockFace clarified.

"Here, this is an Energy Blast shot from the center of the suit. This attack is very destructive. It can take out a person in one strike, but I suggest you don't use this as it will drain the suit's spiritual energy almost entirely."

"You mean the ultimate hit point?"

"Yeah, that's the one,"

"I see... so that should be like a last resort,"

"Exactly,"

The helmet of the suit had a cooling system to avoid any discomfort, which is quite considerate of its creator. There is also a separate interface created solely for the suit, just like a robot. Allyn could see through objects with it, but not clearly, so this feature isn't very useful.

... With a tap on the round tech on his chest, Allyn deactivates the suit.

"Put this on your neck," CrockFace gave Allyn a tech that looks like a necklace.

"What is this?" Allyn asked while putting on the strange object.

However, the moment he wore it, Allyn's head got flooded with information, all of which are centered on how to operate Mana Suit. In less than a second, he knows what is necessary to adapt to the mecha_suit.

"With that, you don't need any explanation from me," says CrockFace.

"Yeah, I guess not,"

"I will communicate with you through that suit," CrockFace added.

The urge to test his new collection is very strong, but Allyn knows he has to hold himself back for now. Once he can get hold of those crooks, he will gladly give them a taste of his medicine.

"All of our techs have a tracking system, so we have a vivid idea of how to find all our stolen technologies... But catching them still proves quite difficult," a robot said.

Allyn was given a tracking device to help him find his targets. This will be very helpful indeed, and he appreciates it.

____________________________

Would you like to synchronize your interface with the tracking device?

[YES] [NO]

____________________________

Synchronizing the tracking device to his interface means having to see every info that is displayed on the device via his interface.

This is possible due to the existing system map.

Allyn clicks Yes, and there, he saw his first target's location via a red marking on the system map.

"This is going to take a while," Allyn mutters

. . .

The big announcement is about to begin in a few minutes, and Allyn is looking forward to this. It is also one reason he hasn't logged out just yet. The big reward that would be gifted to him as a newly registered player is his driving force, like always.

SYSTEM ERROR!

We've discovered a bug in the system and logging out may not be possible at the moment, we're working on it. Please bear with us...

Whatever happens, please do not force yourself out of the game. That may not end well...

"System error? how did that happen?"

The thought of not being able to log out at will doesn't feel nice, but Allyn did not put it to heart. He is already having a good time and may not be logging out soon.

"Damn! this is a cool device. Where did you get it?" A player called I_DanceCrazy said with bright eyes.

"I bought it. How else did you think I got it?" said Buttcheek... he is one culprit.

"But this looks quite expensive," said RedBrain with a thoughtful expression. He is a different player, of course.

"Men, shut up dude," Buttcheek retorted, "It doesn't matter what it looks like, this is mine!" he said.

Strapped to Buttcheek's back is an enormous gun, which is very hard to go unnoticed. His friends had been having their eyes fixed on this device, but Buttcheek wasn't willing to share, not in the slightest.

"He looks like an asshole," says Allyn from a safe distance.

He recognized the culprit all too well. However, how is he going to take on three players at a time?...

"This may prove problematic," Allyn said.
