When he enters the classroom, his biology teacher looks up.

"Mr. Monroe, can I talk to you for a second?"

He can feel heads turning around and eyes drilling themselves into his body, like nails through flesh but Cameron tries to ignore them and walks over to the teacher's desk.

"Yes, of course."

She lowers her voice.

"I'm a bit worried about you. My colleagues and I have noticed that you seem to have problems concentrating. You often space out or nearly fall asleep in class. Are you having problems getting used to the new school? Or are some of the other students giving you a hard time? Because I feel like the reason you don't rise up to your full potential in class is not necessarily laziness."
