Chapter 71

“Don’t you look great,” Ryan exclaimed as I got out of the car. “Touring seems to agree with you.”

Wilson gave me a kiss and said we could sit on the deck and watch the pod of whales that had been playing out there today.

“Let me get your bags,” Wilson said.

“I need to get my cello, too. I don’t want to leave her in the car in this heat.”

“No, it isn’t fair to leave our loved ones to get all hot and sweaty waiting for us.” Ryan chuckled. Wilson turned and kissed him on the cheek.

We took my bags and cello into the spare room.

“Do you have a bathing suit with you?” Wilson asked. “The swimming is great out on our beach.” I noticed that he hadn’t said, “The bathing suit.”

“No,” I laughed, “there aren’t a lot of places to swim in Augusta, Maine.”

“Then, do you have shorts and a tank top? That would work.”

I nodded. “That I have. Just give me a minute.”
