“All right,” I crowed. “Should I start the introductions now or wait for the next ten people.” They all laughed. “I’ll do this in the reverse order of appearance. This is Jane Reardon, the producer of this ad campaign, Tim Coulter, my agent, Ryan Foster, who needs no introduction, Wilson Potter, who is here to escort me around for the weekend’s festivities, Mimi Delagardo who will make sure I wear the right thing, and Car Weldon, the Love of my Life. Anyone else hiding around here?” I stepped back to let them meet each other. I especially kept an eye on Car and Jane. I didn’t want Car to be paranoid because I’d told her about the pass Jane made at me. I also didn’t want Jane to feel any animosity that I was involved with Car.

Then Ryan spoke louder. “It’s getting kind of crowded in here and I, for one, know nothing about what’s happening. Car? Care to join me in the lounge and get snockered?”
