Chapter 48

It was interrupted when Judith knocked on the door. When Car acknowledged her. She came in and set a plate on the table.

“Thank you, I’m starved.” I sat down at the table and took the metal cover off the plate.

“Will you be wanting dessert too?”

“I could probably eat the whole house.” I chortled.

“Judith, would you like to see what our Chris did today to make her this hungry?”

When Judith nodded, Car took the photos out of the envelope and passed her the pictures.

I stopped and watched Judith’s face.

“Ms. Chris! What are these for?”

I glanced at Car, then I said, “I’m the new spokesperson for Black Pearl Perfume. We shot a couple ads today. Those will be on TV.”

“Ms. Chris!” Judith exclaimed. “I didn’t know you did things like this.”

“This is the very first time.”

“Good heavens. This deserves a very special dessert.”

I smiled as she handed the photos back to Car, turned, and walked back downstairs.
