The day this all started

"Good morning Sir! I'm here to pick you up"

"Really Amelia?"

Alexander stood straight with his hands crossed on his chest he had a smile plastered on his face. seeing his best friend after a long time and that's also a surprise

Alexander thought that maybe some driver would come to pick him up but there was no driver but his childhood best friend Amelia Oliver herself

Unlocking the Door Amelia stepped out of the car wearing a black tee with some jeans looking all casual she stood on the other side of the car, resting her elbow on top of the car as she rested her head on her palm and stare at Alexander with her raised eyebrows

"So How do you like the surprise?"

Hearing her Alexander let out a chuckle, the surprise did work surely as Alexander didn't expect her to be here.

Nodding his head Alexander indicated her to come near him and doing the same she did walk towards Alexander and stood in front of him

Crossing her hands on her chest also standing like him as she tried to imitate Alexander

While Alexander looked at her with adoration in his eyes before giving her a tight hug while Amelia did there same

They missed each other so much, how would they not? spending their all childhood together, the crime partners were meeting each other after 6 years

"I loved the surprise!"

"I know!"

They spoke and laughed together and too everyone's sights they looked like a cute couple but they were just friends

Putting Alexander's luggage in the back seat before they got into the car as Amelia again wearing the driver's cap sat on the driving seat while Alexander made him comfortable at the passenger seat

Amelia knew how to drive for a long time and she called herself a pro but right now her happiness was on another level after meeting her long time friend the pro Amelia wasn't in her mind to drive the car correctly

She glared at Alexander from time to time while Alexander just chuckled at her behavior

"Stop the car!"

"Huh? OH MY GOD"

Amelia was again looking at Alexander with a smile plastered on her face but soon Alexander suddenly shout telling her to stop the car as he saw a little girl who front of their car who was about to get hit but Amelia pressed the break right on time and they saved the accident which was about to happen

Getting out of the car Amelia run towards that girl to ask if she was fine or not while Alexander did the same

"Are you ok baby?"

The girl who looked like 10 or 11/years old stood there all quiet, Bending down to her level Amelia asks all worried looking at her or face, even when she didn't get hit by their car she was still looking so dull and pale and she didn't utter a word standing there all quiet which made them more worried

Alexander looked around to see if someone was there with her but couldn't see anyone

"Should we take her to the hospital?"

"I think we should!"

Amelia nodded he head at what Alexander just said before Alexander picked up the girl as he made her sit on the backseat as Amelia accompanied her while Alexander seated on the driving seat as he drove the car to the nearest hospital

"Is she ok? why isn't she saying anything?"

Standing in a hospital ward Amelia spoke looking at the doctor who just did the checkup on that unknown girl who still didn't utter a word, and yet they don't even know her name

Amelia asked why she was not saying anything and what happened to her when she didn't even get hit by the car

"She was badly dehydrated and is also an anemia patient and I think she hasn't eaten well for some days and lastly there is another problem!"

The Doctor explained everything as to how she was dehydrated which made her look so pale and yet she didn't eat well? everything sounded so pitiful as his little girl was going through so much at this age, yet there was another problem which made Amelia more Worried as she tilted her head before asking

"What problem?"

"She is mute, unfortunately, she can't speak!"

Hearing the Doctor Amelia had tears in her eyes, turning her eyes to the girl Amelia walked towards her with her upset face while the Doctor just stood there looking at her

Sitting down Amelia took the hand of that girl in hers, the girl who was sleeping peacefully, her dull skin made her look like a dead body

"You can take her home when she'd be awake and for now I'll take my leave!"

The doctor suddenly spoke making Amelia nod as he went outside the hospital room

Amelia turned her eyes to look back at the girl and stare at her pale face sadly, Alexander was out to take the medicines that the doctor recommended while Amelia waited in the room

"May I come in?"

"Yeah"

Suddenly the door opened a little showing Alexander as he stood outside and asked like a gentleman that is he should come inside or not while Amelia nodded before telling him to come in

"Here! What did the Doctor say?"

Some medicines were in his hands as he passed them to Amelia before asking what Doctor said

Whereas Amelia told him everything about her condition and how she was mute, Alexander also felt pity he nodded his head, all they can do is to feel upset and pity

Alexander felt upset but Amelia there was extremely upset because of her extremely soft heart seeing the girl like this she wasn't happy at all

Amelia thought for a while before proceeding with her words

"Doctor said that we can take her home after she wakes up"

"Hmm... we need to find her family! we can just take her anywhere it's illegal"
