“Is there anything in particular you’d like to start with?” Lucas scanned my face, as if the answer would pop out of my eyes. I looked away immediately, feeling my cheeks flare up. I would have to dance around the whole teenage hormones until those three came back.
Hopefully, my own self-control would last.
“I honestly don’t know. Something beginner level, maybe.” I stared at the small punching bags Liz had been going at for a while and pointed at them.
“Those are speed bags. You really are a beginner,” he laughed, hugging his stomach to himself at my expense.
“What? They can’t be that hard.” I frowned at him.
“Oh, probably not. The only thing I’m worried about is your stance. Do you know what stance to take when you fight?”
“No, which is why you’ll teach me.” I smiled as he playfully rolled his eyes.
