New world!

The world has changed. The Dream was merely a side-effect of the great apocalyptic battle that has reshaped some parts of the continent. The death toll was above million, with 99% being civilians. It has brought peace and improved cooperation between the big five.

It took Maximus a couple of weeks to learn the core details of the event, ninja were proud of their victory and rather open about it. He even visited one of the craters left by Juubi's attacks - it was bigger than a major city. Most people were happy about the victory, some were mourning their loss, only a few (Maximus included) were dreading the next war.

His quest for vengeance has provided him a lot of lore about ninja, chakra, dojutsu along with connections. Any strategy is based on information, so he began researching history trying to find some answer (or a hint at least). His findings were troubling: all periods of peace, prosperity, and security simply fuel following wars - the current system of hidden villages would ensure longer peace and even more devastating wars.

But his trawling for information has revealed an option. While Leaf village had a monopoly on great dojutsu, other villages were developing their own minor dojutsus (techniques using an eye as a medium) and one of those was Jugan (cursed eye) meant to comprehend and internalize curses. There was no manual or anything, just rumors, but it was enough to outline the basics.
