The morning of the Blue Moon is a hectic one. They’re all still technically cleaning up from the night before whilst also preparing for the night ahead, so Kai and Austin don’t really get started on the project until after sundown.
“Is everythin’ all right?” Wilma asks, curious as she watches the two rush in and out of portals. She’s stirring a bowl of cookie batter, shaking her head in disapproval when Bruiser continues to beg pathetically at her feet. “None for you, mister man. I’m tryin’ to protect your kidneys.”
Far too busy as he continues to frantically speed through the spellbooks orbiting him like he’s his own planet, Kai just gives a noncommittal grunt. “Bruiser, listen to Wil. And uh, yeah, sure, everything’s cool, we just…” He shares an uncertain stare with Austin, who’s swiftly applying extra-strength mini-wards to the suite. “You’re sure you can keep Tuzi away from the Hotel until tomorrow?”
