The right thing
Well, Sam drove away after Given got out of the car. He had to take his son home because he wouldn't be able to look after a child on his own. After a long drive he arrives home and his son was still sleeping. He then asked one of the guards there to help him with the child's luggage while he carried the child inside. He found his parents having a meal at the dining table, and he greeted them but his father didn't seem pleased with his presence.
At that moment
Sam- Mother, I need your help with the child,
Margaret - Where is his mother Sam, where was your son staying before ,
Sam- Mother, May left the child with me meaning that she didn't want him anymore,
Margaret - Oh, after refusing to let the child come to us for three whole years she decided to bring him now, and you agreed,
Sam- He is my son for goodness sake, can't you have a heart, if I could, I would take him with me but I can't,
Mr Daniel -Wife, the child can stay it's fine, there only one thing I would like to discuss with this son of ours here,
Sam- What have I done now father, I had an interview and I fixed everything about me and my assistant,
Mr Daniel - Not anymore, there is a new video of you chasing away May infront of that boy , Sam, I am not going to repeat myself, or else you won't love what I would do to you
Sam- Which is?
Mr Daniel - I would gladly take back my company which falls under your name now, and I'll see who I sell it to since you don't take me seriously,
Sam- You can't do that father, I literally have a fashion show in two weeks time, I promise everything would work out fine.
Mr Daniel -Oh really, when the line up if your top models already dropped out their spots today,
Sam- The did what!!
Said Sam as he was in disbelief. Well, his father still played a big role at the company and he was the one that arranged big events like the fashion shows and many more. Simply because his old business partners would show up and in doing this,the popularity of their company goes up but since the top models were already dropping off their positions, who would but a ticke worth hundred thousands just to see ordinary models whose names are not known. It did make sense, Mr Daniel just wanted to safe the company because his son didn't see anything. How could he when it took him a long time to check the news.
At that same moment a maid went to tell them that there were reporters that were having a discussion about Sam so they all went to the living room where they watched the news. Well, people were now begging to throw shade towards Sam calling him a player and a man without honour and dignity. Well, how could someone with honor chase away the mother of his son infront of the man he still denies as his new partner. To add more to the twist, May was also being interviewed about the issue and I believe by now you know that things were not going to turn out right.
The questioning began, and now all Sam could do was to listen, there was no way that he would be able to stop what was happening.
At that moment( during the interview)
The reporter- Welcome May, the one and only beautiful lady of the town
May- I wish I was ma'am, but nope, I'm not
The reporter- How have you been though, there has been many scandals these past few days,
May- I've been trying but as you could see, I decided to give up because I wasn't loved the way I thought I was,
The reporter- About that May, we recently saw a video of your man chasing you out of his restaurant, this morning, what happened
May- I really don't know how to put it ma'am,but he just told me that he wanted his son,
The reporter- As in, I want to see my son or I want to take him away from you?
May- The second part ma'am, he wanted to take my son away from me for good and there was nothing I could do about it,
The reporter- So you took the child to him?
May- Yes, I took my son to him at his restaurant and there I found him with .. I ( she began to shed fake tears)
The reporter- It's okay, take your time
May- I found him with that boy he is seeing
The reporter- Wait, did he not just issue out a statement saying that boy was just his personal assistant,
May- That's what he says but it's not true because he showed that to everyone today, the way he chased me away infront of the boy,
The reporter- So, you are saying he chose the boy over you,
May- Yes he did, but he is trying to hide the truth from you all by denying the truth.
The reporter- Oh, poor boy, if I was I would get away from that man. Why would he do that to the poor kid,
May- He does that to everyone so that you people would think he is a good person and name him the best man in town but you just don't know the real him"
Said May as she kept bad-mouthing Sam, at this instant, Sam couldn't take it anymore. He didn't know what the woman wanted. Right after the interview was over, he went outside and gave May a call. She even picked it up, the nerve this lady had. Sam asked her what pushed her to such actions and she told him that all she wanted was love from him but since he didn't want to give her what she wanted , she was going to hurt him instead by making sure that his reputation fell apart, all the people that once trusted him would loose their trust in him and leave him.
And like that she ended the call. Sam then went straight to his car and didn't even tell his parents that he was leaving. They only heard the car. Well, Mr Daniel tried. He knew that if Sam took the boy as his husband, people would stop talking and everything would go back to normal but since Sam didn't approve of that, thy just had to watch everything fall apart. As for Sam, he went straight to the company where almost all the staff were on calls, one of his receptionist ran to him and asked if he had a moment because they had to talk. He went with her to his office and when they got there he asked her what was happening and she told him that more that ten VIP members cancelled their bookings for the upcoming fashion show , they stated no reason, just a random call where they said they wouldn't make it anymore.
This really drove Sam mad, why were people taking his personal matters to heart, they didn't know the real thruth but they were already hundred percent sure that he was the wrong one. He then told the receptionist to go and freeze the remaining bookings,meaning that nobody was allowed to withdraw , if you withdraw no refund would be issued. This was the only way to keep the show going even though the top people he wanted were already gone. After that small talkz he went to his staff and told them to get it going because the show was happening, and as for him, he wet back to his office and did final touch ups on some designs, while he handed some to the staff to create for the models, well, the remaining models who were not that popular.
He then wrote Given a text telling him that he was requested to be at work as soon as possible. Well, there werr so many things that needed to be done, so sulking at your boss at this moment wasn't wise, it's what Sam thought.
Given's POV
Really, what have I really done to deserve this. I've just finished watching that lady's interview and she was just lying, she was now saying I was being used and hidden from the public, who does this person think she is. And when I was still wondering someone decided to call me back to work. After what he said to me, he calls me to work, maybe he thinks I'm the robot he is because he didn't have a heart. I just took my belongings, requested an Uber and went back to work. I arrived a few moments later, it was already late and I didn't know why he would want me to work at that time.
I went straight to his office and there I found him perfecting his designs, just like nothing was happening , he asked me to help him see mistakes. So I just played along because I wasn't in the mood to argue with him anymore. I helped him, and it took us three whole hours to complete the samples,well they were going to be auctioned after the fashion show so thy had to be perfect. As we were done he told me that I had to come to his place so that we can work on the event preparations. I knew nothing about those but I could say no to his words so I packed my stuff again, and his and off to his house we went.
As we were in the car he asked me if I've seen May's interview and I told him that I did see it.
At that moment
Sam- What did you think about it?
Given- In what way sir?
Sam- Since you said people's words hurt you, I thought you would be in a coma by now,(he said in a harsh tone)
Given- I was closer to it, but I'm shocked you have no problem with it,
Sam- Excuse me!, like I said, there is nothing you should be whining about here, I'm the one that is loosing everything!!!
Given- Oh really sir, I care so much about my self respect and how people look at me,
Sam- That self respect of yours is nothing compared to what I'm loosing, my company is falling apart a bit by bit for goodness sake,and you are concerned about what people think about you,
Given- Why are you making it sound like I'm the one to blame, it's not my fault that you failed to control your lady,
Sam- Mind your language, I'm still your boss!!
Given- Well, you are not acting like one,"
And now I was getting scolded instead of that lady May, I really do not understand what happens in this man's head. I still felt bad for what was happening to him and his company but I could stand his words, why would he pin the problem on me when he is the one who cannot handle his own problems with women . Surely there is something he would do that would stop May from sound what she was doing . Surely there was something he could do. After a long ride followed by arguments we arrived at his place.
I didn't want to get out if the car because I knew that there was going to be another fight again in the house . So the moment he got out I just watched him and looked away. It was about time I showed him that he was just my boss when we were at work, not outside of work. I was sick and tired of him at this point . He turned and asked me to get out of the car unless I wanted to sleep outside. And I told him that I would rather sleep outside then walk in to his house.
At that moment
Sam- Fine, I was wrong okay,
Given- Wait what,
Sam- I'm just angry kid, you are not the reason my company is falling apart, I would rather take back my words than have you sleep in my car
Given- I don't forgive you though, you only have one problem sir,
Sam- Out of my car kid and we'll talk about the problem, I have serious matters to deal with other than those problems you are about to state. (And Given got out of the car)
