Chapter 70: The Godless
Amidst all the commotion that just went on.
Darius's eyes slowly opened up to see the familiar ceiling of his designated room. Turning his head, he saw Talliu facing him while sitting on a wooden chair.
Not too far from his position was a large hole in the wall right next to the door. Despite this, Talliu still wore his saintly smile. This created a weird contrast in Darius’s mind.
“You’re awake, that's good,” Talliu spoke up once he saw Darius open his eyes.
“What happened to me?” Darius asked as he sat up on the bed. His hand uncontrollably went to his forehead in a fruitless attempt to ease his headache.
“You got hit, that's what happened.” Talliu was calm in giving his response.
Darius remembered what happened, he recalled seeing a massive paw enlarging before his face before he blacked out.
“You should be in a much worse condition but Clancy healed you, you should thank her some time.” Talliu nonchalantly suggested to which Darius simply nodded.
