The next day, the mansion was filled with people hustling and bustling out, doing one thing or the other because of the celebration that was to take place in the mansion tomorrow. Alicia had gotten dressed as she was excited that she was going to leave the mansion to go visit places and also look for her mother.

She walked down the stairs to see the decorations of ribbons, roses in the mansion. The decorations were very beautiful that she couldn't take her eyes off it, she noted that mansion had been painted into white from black and she knew that it wouldn't go well with Asher, but he had nothing to say as it was his father that instructed the painters to do so.

Even the garden wasn't exempted as flowers were arranged beautifully, there was also a new swing which was painted white just above the grasses and below the clear blue sky. She looked around to see the fountain which hadn't been activated since she was here, it had started to gush out spring water, making this place look like royal castle Cinderella was going to be married into.

"What are you staring at?" Came the hoarse voice from behind and Alicia turned around to look at Asher who was wearing his usual black clothes but it seems like it was his official wear, his hair was neatly combed and he had changed the earring pierced In his right ear to a small dangling silver own, before it was silver studs he wore. He looked very attractive that Alicia couldn't help but be lost while staring at his beauty.

"Uh?.. Nothing" she replied ackwardly as she started fidgeting with her dress.

"Are you going to the town? let me give you a ride" He proposed and she looked at him thinking he was playing with her but his face gave an expression of being bored. Did he ever see something that would amuse him in his life?

"Okay, thanks" She said and they both turned towards the carriage which was set to carry them. Alicia walked inside first with the help of Asher's hand which was lifted for her go use and Asher got in next.

Inside the carriage, Alicia sat beside the window as she stared at the trees they were passing by while tucking her hair behind her ear at regular intervals, that made Asher give her a band to tie it up.

Asher was sitting opposite her with a book in his hand which he was flipping through, as if the book wasn't enough to get rid of his bored state, he closed it with a soft thud and his green eyes came to land on her. "So what are you planning to do in the town? where will you be going to?" He asked her out of curiosity.

"To my parents house" She replied, 'Although it has been burnt' she completed the statement in her mind, she could remember coming back from her dance class and she had to meet the tall mansion burnt down. Her father had been brought if the house dead while her mother was sitting under the shed weeping, that day had been too bad for both of them.

"Is that the only place you are going to?" He asked again and he saw her shook her head, "I'm also going to the market to get some few things I need" She responded to see him nod his head and then he faced outside the window. The ride was going on smoothly until the carriage shook making Alicia who was sitting down unsteadily on the seat bump forward to only be caught in the arms of Asher. "I'm sorry" she said to him as she got out of his arms quickly with her cheeks painted red, her eyes darted across the carriage except for his side.

The coachman had apologized for the discomfort he caused his master and he was told to keep moving on, very soon they got to the town and Alicia alighted from the carriage and said thanks to Asher before walking away from there to find her way to her parents house.

Asher had gotten to the camp to see the lieutenant general present which claimed to be severely sick and now he was here giving orders, when his eyes fell on asher a small smile carved his lips as he walked over to meet him, they were both friends.

"Zion, glad to see you are okay" Asher spoke as they both shook hands. Zion was the lieutenant general and was under Asher who was the overall general. "Yeah, I'm glad to be back also" Xion spoke with his charming voice, he was a red headed man with not very beautiful features, he was also handsome but not as Asher.

"I heard you are getting married tomorrow, how does it feel buddy" Zion asked as he draped his arms over Asher's shoulder, he was thinking that Asher would get married to the love of his life but he was wrong because Asher had been forced into the marriage and there was no going against his father or the duke.

"Feels stupid to be getting married to Isabel" Asher muttered under his breath as he clenched his fist when he remembered what the duke came for. Asher wasn't going to give a single love to that woman, even though it was not her fault that she was getting married to him as it was the duke that proposed it, he was going to make he suffer to the extent that she'll file a divorce against him.

"What? that's the daughter of duke Miles, how did you guys get in touch with each other?" Zion asked, he hated that Isabel who was a pretentious girl, she could fool anyone but not him. Everyone thought she was a kind beauty, intelligent, nice and gentle but Zion could see over her facade, she was a very vicious woman which made him worry that his friend was getting married to her when he obviously doesn't like her.

"You know the family thing, my father and her father are acquainted with each other" He trailed off not wanting to talk anymore about it, they shifted to another topic.

"There has been some changes in the security system, the navies have been assigned to go watch over the water for the witches as they are still very rampant and also the air forces have swung into actions by watching every corner the witches could use through the air, those vicious creatures were reported to have been building their hideout in the sky which I find ridiculous but then they would just appear in the air with that stupid broom stick of theirs and start to evade the lands, Asher it's now up to us to protect these lands, the lord had promised to give share of everything he has if we are able to protect this land" Zion reported and Ashed just released a sigh accompanied with a nod, he just wanted those witches or whatever they are to get eradicated so his work could become lesser.

"Also there have been rumors in the town that you have a hand in the missing gems in the land of Gerume and I am sure you wouldn't do something stupid like that Asher" Zion said to Asher that made him clench his fist, 'Rumors? they must be spread by that wretched duke so that he wouldn't back down from the marriage, just the thought of it made him sick and he would do extremely everything to make his daughter suffer emotionally to the point that she'll be losing mentality, Asher said to himself as the corner of his lips quirked up.

"I don't have a hand in it Zion, don't bother yourself investigating something you won't find" he spoke as he patted his friends shoulder and walked ahead of him.
