Alex sat nervously at the table, glancing at his watch every few seconds. He had arrived at the restaurant a little early, hoping to calm his nerves before Lilly arrived.

He wanted to make a good impression on her, especially after his earlier behavior that had left him feeling embarrassed and regretful and her outburst on him the other day.

After a few minutes that felt like an eternity, Lilly walked into the restaurant. Alex's heart skipped a beat as he saw her approaching.

She wore a warm smile, and it eased some of his anxiety a little bit . She greeted him with a friendly wave and made her way to the table. He tried to smile back at her

"Hey, sorry I'm a little late," Lilly said, slipping off her jacket and taking a seat across from Alex. "Traffic was a nightmare."

Alex managed to retain the smile on his face so as not to scare her with his cold demeanor, relieved that she hadn't mentioned anything about last time. "No worries at all. I'm just glad you made it."

They sat in silence for a moment, unsure of how to break the ice. Alex's mind raced, desperately searching for a topic to discuss. He felt lost, realizing he had no experience in dating and no idea how to carry a conversation in this context.

Lilly could sense the awkwardness in the air and decided to take the lead. She wanted to make Alex feel comfortable and get to know him better, despite the initial uneasiness.

"So, Alex," she began, her voice gentle and reassuring. "Tell me a bit more about yourself. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?"

Alex's face lit up at the question, grateful for the lifeline she had thrown him. Although he was unsure about dating, he wasn't confident when it came to thing that interest him.

"Well," he started, his voice losing some enthusiasm. "I don't really have anything fun I do, I only focus on business. I do like watching star's but it only maybe a few times" he saw the change in her expression.

Lilly was shocked she didn't expect his life to be this boring and plain, She decided to talk more about her self since it seems he had nothing to tell about himself.

As they delved deeper into Lilly's passion for painting, the conversation flowed more naturally. He became more relaxed, listening to her attentively watching her smile and frown at the same time, her expression gave him joy.

They continued talking about her hobbies, discovering new interest about her life, now he knew he didn't really know her before.

Alex learned that Lilly had a passion for painting and designing and had recently designed a new dress. His admiration for her grew without bounds.

After some time, their meals arrived. They paused their conversation momentarily to savor the delicious food. The silence that followed was no longer awkward but rather comfortable, as if they had settled into a new rhythm.

Finally, Lilly mustered the courage to ask the question that had been on her mind since they sat down. She took a deep breath and looked directly into Alex's eyes.

"Alex, I have a question," she said softly. He raised his head and stared at her back "Do you like me?"

The question threw him off balance

Alex paused for a moment, looking slightly surprised by the straightforwardness of the question. After gathering his thoughts, he responded honestly.

"I...I think you're a great person, Lilly," Alex stammered, his nerves evident. "But to be completely honest, I'm not sure how I feel yet. This is my first time dating, and everything feels so new and unfamiliar to me."

Lilly nodded understandingly, appreciating Alex's honesty. She could sense his nervousness and decided to be patient with him.

"That's completely alright, Alex," she replied softly, trying to alleviate any pressure he might be feeling. "Dating can be confusing, especially when it's your first time. It takes time to figure out your feelings and get comfortable with someone. Let's take things slow and see where it leads us."

Alex visibly relaxed, grateful for Lilly's understanding and willingness to give him time. He realized that he wanted to get to know her better, and perhaps his feelings would develop as they spent more time together.

"Thank you, Lilly," Alex said, a hint of a smile forming on his lips he looked to handsome when he smiled Lilly's eyes glued to his face savoring his handsomeness. "I appreciate your patience and understanding. I genuinely want to get to know you better too. Let's take it one.

As they were done with the meal, he offers to drive her home, which Lilly didn't reject and accepted, he used the opportunity to invite her to his house during the next weekend, as agreed he dropped her off and left.
