Visiting the X-Men Part 2

Alex Wayne POV

We quickly entered the campus.

In the place we see many children and young people having fun.

"It looks like your school is doing well" I commented to Charles.

"Yeah, everything is fine. Besides, the children are more excited since you became governor of Genosha" Charles said with a smile on his face.

Confused I ask him:

"What do you mean?"

"Well, thanks to you the children have hope that life for the mutants will get better" the one who answered me was Jean who approached us to receive us.

I nod at her and say in a carefree way:

"Is that so? I don't think I've done anything extraordinary"

Charles shakes his head with a bitter smile on his face and says:

"You may feel that way, but you have accomplished more than Magneto and I once dreamed of"

The place falls silent for a few seconds until a Kitty Pryde appearing out of nowhere asks:

"Hey Alex, is it true that Magneto works for you?"

"No, he's helping me" I answered.

"Really? You have to be careful then" a distrustful Kitty said.

"Hey brat, my father wouldn't do that… probably?" Pietro said hesitantly.

Everyone present is left speechless listening to Pietro.

Wanda is furious and wants to beat up her idiot brother.

Realizing that he said something stupid and as he runs to get away from Wanda, he says:

"I'm going to visit the kitchen of the mansion since I'm very hungry, I'll see you later"

Seeing her brother run away upset Wanda.

Ignoring Pietro, I reply to Kitty:

"I don't believe it, Magneto has changed a lot, so much so that I would trust him with my life"

My words shock all of the X-Men.

"It seems that he has really changed for you to trust him so much, when I have time I will go visit him" Charles said.

"You can go to Genosha whenever you want, plus you can go to Genosha on a field trip with the kids from your school" I advised.

Charles's eyes sparkle for a moment and he says a little excitedly:

"That could be a good idea"

"I also think the same, so the children will see what life is like as a mutant in Genosha" Jean said.

The other X-Men present nod their heads in agreement.

"Then it's decided, let me know in advance and I'll make arrangements" I told Charles.

Nodding his head, Charles says:

"Alright, thank you very much in advance Alex"

"Don't worry, you're welcome"

Thus, while we talked and walked through the school facilities.

I felt it.

Not only me. Wanda, Jean and Psylocke also felt the same way.

We quickly ran to the patio. The others, although confused, followed us.

Upon reaching the patio and when the others were going to ask what was happening.

A few meters from us, space distorted and a portal was created.

Seeing that, I knew I was right to be prepared for the unexpected.
