Two hours later

After a short trip, Riri, Wanda, Polaris and I arrived in New York.

Nick Fury and Natasha greet us at the airport.

"Hi, long time no see, Natasha" I say as I approach them.

"Same here, especially you, my good friend Wanda" Natasha said with a smile while looking at Wanda.

"We're not friends ma'am" an annoyed Wanda said.

Fury ignoring Wanda and Natasha says:

"Let's go, the whole team is gathered in the Avengers Tower waiting for us"

Nodding, we follow him to the exit where our transport awaits.

To my surprise, the driver is Barbara Morse.

"Oh, long time no see, Barbara" I greeted her.

Barbara smiling says:

"Hi Alex, or should I call you Governor?"

"No, you're a friend, you can call me whatever you want" I said as I shrugged.

She just nodded her head.

Upon boarding the vehicle, we headed to the Avengers Tower.

When we arrived, we got out of the vehicle and went up to the top floor.

When we entered the flat, we saw a group of people that I recognized.

They are:

The Avengers (Captain America, Iron Man, Hawkeye, and Bruce Banner)

And the Fantastic Four (Reed Richards, Susan Storm, Johnny Storm and Ben Grimm)

They also turned their gaze towards us.

Captain approaches and giving me a bear hug, he says:

"Long time no see my friend"

Smiling ironically, I say:

"Hello Captain, it's also a pleasure to see you"

"Look who showed up, the guy who helped us against the Chitauri and the current Governor of Genosha, Alex Wayne, right?" Tony said.

"That's right, he's here for backup if your machine can't stop that alien" Fury said.

Reed frowns at Fury's words and says:

"Our machine will work, you don't need to worry"

"Calm down Reed, it's just a precaution" Susan said.

"That's right Dr. Richards, I only brought him if an unexpected event occurs" Fury said seeing that Reed could have misunderstood.

After introducing ourselves to everyone, Fury started the meeting.

"Five days ago, an unidentified alien being began to cause different incidents around the Earth"

"His abilities are unknown, we only know very little about him. And from what he said, we understood that he is just a subordinate and is preparing the Earth for the arrival of his boss"

"Dr. Richards with the help of Stark and Dr. Banner have created a device that will allow us to interfere with his energy and theoretically weaken him"

"That's why the plan is to locate him and activate the device. Richards, Stark and Banner will be in charge of activating it while the others will be in charge of distracting him, any questions?"

When he finished speaking, no one had any doubts.

Seconds later he says:

"Then let's get ready"
