Genosha (Civil war I) Part 12

While Jessica and Alex were on their way to the Genosha mines.

At the port, minutes after they left.

An armed group approached the port, they were the Magistrates.

They had learned that a ship of theirs had been stolen and enemy had entered Genosha on it.

"Mr. David, we didn't find anyone on the boat" a Magistrate said.

"I see, I came to receive the prisoners and this happens" David said.

This man is David Moreau, also known as the Genegineer, he had created a device that took away the free will of mutants and turned them into puppets that obeyed his every command.

"Sir, we suspect they are headed for the mines" the Magistrate said.

"I understand, they want to free the mutants, well, we won't make it easy for them. Get your men ready, I'll take my servants to deal with the intruders" David said as he led his own men away.

These men are all young mutants, who have been brainwashed to be loyal to David.

The Magistrate nodded in agreement and went to prepare his men.

Alex Wayne POV

To reach the mines from our position, we had to pass through the inner city, which is full of Magistrates and Sentinels.

"Then what do we do?" Jessica asked.

"Let's just move forward avoiding attention" I answered.

Nodding Jessica follows me.

This place is like a military barracks, advancing we enter a hangar to avoid a group of Magistrates.

The hangar is spacious but there is something unique about this hangar, it is smaller than the other hangars around it.

Hearing footsteps approaching the hangar, we stay hidden.

And then we hear:

"Your improvements are more than expected Jackal" a voice said.

Upon hearing the name Jackal, I'm surprised but I also recognize who is the person who speaks with him, it's Bolivar Trask.

While I'm still hiding, I look at Bolivar Trask, who has some bruises on his face but already seems recovered.

As for Jackal, he is a thin, green being with a wild appearance.

"It's thanks to you Trask, the mutants you gave me have helped improve my serums, because it gave me a better understanding of evolution" answered Jackal.

I watch as the two go inside the hangar while they talk, when they reach a door, the Jackal opens it and enters with Trask.

Seeing them disappear through the door, I decide to follow them, since they were talking about something that interests me.
