Training

Like yesterday, Miira and Pandaya woke me up. But, this time, instead of taking me to the Dir'kin pen, we finally hit the training grounds.

"So, did you decide, Lyra?" Pandaya crosses her arms and waits for an answer.

"I guess I'll enter it, but I don't know about winning," I respond.

"Good, then let's start. No weapons. We'll go over the basics first." Pandaya walks over to Miira, "You take over, first."

"Great!" Miira chirps, "Today, I'll teach you how to breathe properly. It doesn't matter whether you're doing a healing art or combat training. Learning how to breathe will teach you the self-control and focus that will help you with either."

Alright then, Ms. Yogi Sensei. I follow Miira's instructions, closing my eyes, and trying to remain calm and focused. Hm, this is usually when the naive student grows impatient and the teacher whacks them on the head for their lack of discipline.

Pa.

Miira taps my head with her staff.
