Quest From Her

As Takeuchi finished his breakfast, Eva answered a knock on the door.

A shadow slave—a floating dark ball—entered the room.

"Master, there's someone at the door," Eva said respectfully, stepping aside to give him a clear view.

Takeuchi glanced at his own shadow slave in the corner to make sure it wasn't his.

The shadow slave transformed into Trissy, her voice echoing from its darkness. "Takeuchi, we need you at the guild headquarters immediately. Something urgent has come up."

Setting down his teacup, Takeuchi nodded. "Understood. I'll head there right away."

He hadn't planned on taking any quests that day, hoping for a relaxing time, but Trissy's call changed his plans.

Takeuchi found it intriguing.

It was the first time Trissy had given him a quest directly, and he sensed its importance to her.

After bidding Eva goodbye, Takeuchi hurried to the guild headquarters in the right-wing building.
