The term cathouse was just an euphemistic way of making the actual description less offensive than it would have been if it was directly called what it was. In other words, instead of calling it a cathouse, it was simpler to call it a brothel. To think those girls had worked in such a place before they died, did they need to ask where their souls have gone to at the end?
