Ether turned around, facing the window as tears threatened to fall from her eyes.

'Maybe I was getting overly excited and ahead of myself. But what Asterion did was nowhere correct. He could have discussed this with me instead of walking out on my face.' She thought to herself, feeling betrayed.

It had been sometime since she was treated this way, and she had forgotten how her life was. Wasn't this how others treated her. Then why was she angry upon Asterion.

"Try this." She suddenly heard a voice making her jump out of her thoughts as a tear rolled down her cheek.

"Ether! Why.. Why are you crying? Princess, please don't cry." Asterion instantly threw the thing which he was holding, making a clattering sound before pulling Ether to the bed.

He wiped that single tear away, looking her in the eyes.

"I just wanted to see if your idea worked. Look, I just went to pick that thing." He said while pointing towards the ground.
