Chapter 28: An overpowered angel

(Mael's POV)

Heaven is a place or more to say a separate dimension where God of the Bible, angels, and souls of deceased humans reside.

There are seven sections of Heaven.

First Heaven is where low-level Angels generally reside. It also serves as the front lines of Heaven's defenses. It is also connected to the main human world where they used to look after their believer directly.

Second Heaven is a place filled with darkness where the Angels observe the stars and where they confine Angels who have sinned. It is also the place where those involved in the Tower of Babel incident are imprisoned. Basically, those who have fallen from grace but still are loyal to God, surrender themselves so that they can return to heaven.

Third Heaven is the home of the souls of the dead who have been taken to Heaven. It's so vast that it's almost immeasurable and it is the Heaven worshippers believe in. It is also connected to Purgatory where the souls of sinners are punished. It is also the place where the Tree of Life is located.

Fourth Heaven is The Garden of Eden where the legend of Adam and Eve began. This is the place where the Tree of Wisdom resides.

Fifth Heaven is the former home of the members of Grigori (Fallen Angels) before they fell. It was a place for research purposes where miracles and magic discoveries were used to make but now, it was mostly empty.

Sixth Heaven is known as "Zebel". It is the current core of Heaven where the Seraphs resides.

And then finally comes Seventh Heaven, Home to the Sacred Gear System, and God's System. Also, the place where God of the Bible resided.

"So Sona left as soon as she died…"

"Yes, when I came here, she was not here."

The one I was talking to was Ivan, Sona's brother, children I nurtured in the human world.

"Her spirit and soul was not in a condition to be sustained so she entered the Cycle of Reincarnation as soon as she came," God answered.

I gritted my teeth after finding out this. She was tortured to the point where even her soul got corrupted to the point where she couldn't even be purified.

"Brother Mael, chill out. Believe in yourself a little. I am sure both Sister Jeanne and Sona also wanted you to cheer up and move on." Ivan tapped my back a couple of times with a smile.

Even after my neglect, he never bears any grudge but instead was grateful that I gave him a chance to live.

After a brief hug with the child, he entered the gate of Reincarnation since he still had to live a proper life.

"Are you ready?" God asked.

"Yeah, by the way, what should I call you?"

"You can call me The One or Boss or Otou-sa-"

"Boss then."

I nodded without continuing with his shenanigans.

It was finally the time to become a full-fledged angel under his grace.

"By the way, I want a custom-made Halo." I placed a demand before I could become an angel.

On the way when I was touring heaven, I saw many angels with a halo. However, Eliza was an exception as she lost her grace when she descended on earth.

It doesn't provide any unique ability since it is only a sign that an angel is under the authority of heaven. However, I wanted a custom-made halo with a specific skill.

"Halo like Jibril from No Game No Life, right with the ability to see status? I got this." Boss chuckled.

Although many people might be uncomfortable when someone can read your mind, it was not in my case as it saved me unnecessary time to explain everything. Besides, he was the God, whether I want or not, I couldn't stop him anyway.

Then he came forward and touched my chest with a finger.

A bright halo of light formed before it took the shape of mechanical gears and started to roll as if unlocking a safe.

In the next second, I was teleported to a different world.

Beneath my feet was a bluish surface while large pillars were connecting the surface with the sky and on the sky, I saw a huge glowing ball.

I didn't take long to recognize them as ocean, tornados, and sun but were moving with such a speed that they seemed to be stunned at one place.

"So that's what my power is?"

However, instead of fear, I beamed a confidant smile and closed my eyes, and was engulfed by that world.

"Ah…"

I opened my eyes slowly and scratched my head.

"What the…? Am I supposed to be this handsome?!"

When I saw myself in the mirror, I was shocked at how handsome and beautiful I was transformed into.

I was turned into a 187 cm hunk with bright silver hair and blue eyes, enough for any girl to fall for my charm in seconds. In addition to my super handsome angelic body, I grew two pairs of white glossing wings.

I was not like Mael as SDS Mael was a lot taller but I possess similar facial features with me having short hair.

There was also a spiked-shaped halo bending to the left side of my head that spins whenever I use my holy power or grace.

But

"Why is there a horn on my head?"

In addition to the halo, there was a white horn on my right side standing straight. Even though it was my first time seeing my wings and horn, I felt like they were part of my body but I was curious as to why I had a horn. It didn't match my handsome figure.

"Well, you are supposed to grow that at age of 15 but you will find out the reason."

He just passed the gesture as if saying to find out on my own.

"By the way, check that function."

"Ah right."

I nodded and mentally called the status screen.

A bluish screen appeared with my abilities in it.

"What the?!!!"

I was shocked beyond belief.

They are beings whose powers exceed the norm making them so destructive that they can turn the whole country upside down in minutes. Includes:

High humans being born or later become gods or higher beings.

Five or six paired winged individuals of Three Faction Races.

Chief gods of relative pantheons.

Tier 4 (Extreme): A being who could tear the world apart. Includes:

Certain Gods.
