DOUBLE CLASS AWAKENING

"Noo.." Liam's eyes were filled with tears of despair as he saw Leon's dismembered body being thrown into the space crack. Time had suddenly stopped for Liam. A huge array of thoughts rushed through his mind.

The scene of his parents dying, him rushing into japan, meeting Leon and his sister, becoming friends with them, their friendship, their training sessions, the smiles of his best friend and the positive outlook he had towards life, to the very moment where he was declared as an S-rank.

Every single detail of his life played in front of his eyes. When the S-rank was declared to the world, he was elated to know that he was one of the world's chosen top-tier hunters. he expected that he would be able to protect his family and friends properly from now on.

The scene of his parents dying to the monsters while trying to reach them had left a scar on his heart. he promised that he would never let something like that happen to anyone close to him. He even got an S-rank.

Yet he saw his best friend's dismembered body being thrown away like some garbage into the spatial crack. His best friend, seven, had a smile on his face as he bid goodbye to him, trying to remain normal.

"Ahhhh..."

At another location on the cliff-

"We could have procured the body of the one who died?" One of the men in the shadows said.

"Even if his body was procured, he would end up dead in a matter of seconds. Don't forget our true mission of coming here. We need to guarantee the safety of Liam Chang and his family, not some waste he is acquainted with." Their team captain spoke.

"Waste seemed to be like a family to him. He is standing in front of that monster with despair."

"All of us have lost something to the new world. He needs to experience a situation like this to get the motivation to hunt. Once he enters the world of hunting, there will be no mercy shown to him. How could this naive boy survive in such a condition."

"Sir, the ogre is moving towards him now. He seems to have received deep trauma. We need to save him." The man said.

"Let's move out." The team captain ordered his troops to attack, when all of them suddenly felt an incredible burst of energy from Liam's body, pushing all of them far away. The energy was so powerful that the lower-tier hunters in the rescue team coughed up blood.

Even the ogre, which seemed to be fierce a moment ago, had an expression of fear on its face. It was the first time the team captain had seen an expression like that on a B-rank monster's face. Even the monster could feel fear.

"What happened?" The captain asked

"Sir Leon's body seems to be radiating a weird energy." When the captain looked at the scene his eyes were fixed on Liam. His expression slowly turned from astonished to shocked.

"What did you say the class tier of Liam was?"

"Sir, according to the energy distribution reports he would be a very powerful S-rank mage. the type of element which he will practice in wasn't discovered."

"Oh my god." The captain took a step back, shock filling his eyes.

"What happened sir?" the man beside him inquired.

"What is that?" A man on their team yelled in horror. When the man looked at Liam's location, he didn't see Liam any longer. in place of him stood a figure which was covered in what looked like an exoskeleton.

The figure was almost as tall as the ogre who had just appeared, and it was covered in blood-red scales all over. Its steel-like muscles, powerful claws, and incredible wings were being displayed in its full might. The only recognizable part was the head portion which had Liam's face on it.

"What is that?" The man, too, yelled in horror.

"You know how different hunters have different types of awakenings right?" A voice sounded from behind the group. When they turned around it was a middle-aged man who wore a large hooded vest.

Although he seemed normal, the group instantly recognized him.

"We salute the vice-president". It turns out it was the vice-president of their organization.

"Have you ever seen a melee hunter awakening?"

"I have seen it sir." the captain of the group spoke up.

"What rank was it?"

"He was a B-rank melee fighter." The captain replied.

"What you are looking for in front of you is the awakening of an S-Rank melee hunter." The vice-president spoke up.

"Isn't Liam an S-rank mage?" The captain spoke up.

"What we have today is the rarest of all types of hunters, a dual-class hunter with both melee and magic capabilities." The members of the team were spellbound. A double awakener. They were the top members of the whole food chain.

The dual awakener was something that countries fought for. It is said that an S-rank double awakener that can destroy a whole country all by himself.

"It was worth it to come here. I get to see the awakening ceremony of a dual awakener. he is a melee and a mage class on top of that, the oddest combination who lie on the opposite spectrum of each other."

"The hunter world is going to be overtaken by a storm soon."

Liam simply walked toward the ogre, which stood motionless in front of him. The scare of Liam was too much for it to even move a bit. Liam raised both of his hands and grabbed the two shoulders of the ogre.

"Ahh." A roar was heard as he tore the whole body into two with pure physical strength.

He then rushed towards the spot where the spatial crack was present, but to his despair, nothing remained there. A roar of agony could be heard throughout the city that night as Liam went mad.

His power began to burst out of his body, and he began destroying the whole area around him. It was at this moment that a figure suddenly appeared behind him and struck a very powerful chop directly to his neck.

Liam's powers disappeared immediately and he fell unconscious.

'I have struck gold today." the figure was none other than the vice-president of the Courageous Dragon Guild.
