DEEP STUDY

A river appeared before him and without hesitating, Ye Chen dived in majestically only to meet head on with the hard water surface, he had forgotten about the surface tension that could exist here. Without a doubt, he immediately passed out.

Soo-Jin was nimble on her feet and was therefore able to manage to avoid the disaster.

'Phew, that was close, eeh where is brother Ye. Mm, seems like the bees got him. That guy will survive am sure, he is a man after all…'

The once awaited adventure for the two came to a premature end because of the angry bees.

---

Like a life saving mechanism, he found himself in the virtual space again. The scheming system was no where to be seen. It had already hidden itself as it knew it's mistake.

'This guy is undependable, how can he let me be almost be 'eaten' by bees, wayaya this is to hateful…'

He paced back and forth anxiously as his thoughts ran while he stimulated many ideas.

He was too weak to even survive the dark forest let alone this harsh world. He felt how naive he was to even think of saving this planet. He could not even defend himself against the harm of insects, bees, it would be ridiculous if he could save this world.

He thereby had to increase his strength. Coming from Earth, he did have some knowledge of martial arts that he had learned in the military but it would only give him a bit more strength. Nothing to be proud of for him.

As for magic and cultivation, they were out of question already as this world did not have the energy to level up. He could practice some elemental magic but might remain in beginner state forever. Cultivation was already impossible as there was no spiritual Qi here. It was already depleted.

'Mm, what if we use this dark energy that is around, with a different magic cultivation system, it might work…'

"Hey Xiao, bring your damn brains here…" He grew excited once again that he even forgot the matter of his body that was still out there.

He immediately instructed Xiao to search for all the books offering alternatives to cultivating different energies.

A pile of virtual books on universal energies was stocked in front of him as he braced himself to read them one by one. He no longer dared to trust Xiao to feed the information directly into his brain and of course he had nothing to do again and could only immerse himself in reading.

Adventures of Daoist Kong in the Technology realm. It was a detailed story of the adventure of a cultivator who by fate chanced upon the Technology realm that fascinated him. Just a tiny bit of Origin energy could attract other types of energies and convert them to origin energy.

A beginner's guide to cultivation by Immortal Emperor Linfeng. This was the best one to guide him through as it explained the concepts of spiritual Qi and how to level up while explaining what to do and what not to while cultivating. It also explained the different levels and the spiritual items in the cultivation realm.

But what interested him was a book on Nature Energy and Dark Energy by Master JP. JP talked about how his master died after running dark energy in a wrong way leaving him alone. He revised the technique but chanced upon Nature Energy that he decided to experiment with and saw how it complemented with other energies with no side effects. He continued to explain how dark energy worked and how overpowered one could be if he succeeded but unfortunately no one had ever succeeded as they all died.

There were other energies like the chaos energy that existed in all bodies in the cosmos, the energy from the sun, the moon and the stars as well as other celestial bodies. System energy that involved the power of ether bestowed upon all systems that could integrate with hosts. He even wondered if his Xiao had that energy. Wouldn't he just sit back and the system would give him its energy. Sorcery and wizardry arts were all explained ind detail but he did not find time to go through as his time was limited.

His body was still laying outside exposed to all elements. He was anxious but he still managed to organize his thoughts as he tried to think of a better way to level up in this world devoid of spiritual energy.

'The only option here is the dark energy and ether, but they seem not to entice me, I'll need something more clean and comfortable...'

'Let me talk to Xiao first, it's high time we become serious...'

But his consciousness was pulled out of the system as he opened his eyes again.

He was laying along the banks of the river.
