121 Who...? (Bonus chapter 1)

Monday morning, 8:00 am.

Leonard was in the conference hall in the agency HQ with the other branches' heads of the agency from other countries. It was an annual meeting where they discuss what they need to do, how things need to be handled etc etc.

Even if it had been 10 years for Sabrina & Leonard to share their position as the head of the agency HQ not once had Sabrina been on time for these meetings and this year was no special either. She was late yet again.

Leonard was tapping his finger on the table as he seemed to lose patience but just then he heard a gun shot and it made him jump out of his seat.

Leonard rushed to the scene where the gun shot took place, it was not far from the conference hall in fact it was on the same floor...and the person who was shot...was none other than Sabrina.

Hospital

"The bullet is out but her condition is critical at the moment. We can't say if she will even come out of the coma." The doctor said as he came out of the operation theatre.

Everyone took a deep sigh of sadness.

"She'll be fine." Leonard assured Sam.

"Yeah.." Sam said as he lifted his head up to look at Leonard.

"Hmm, you take care of everyone here. I need to investigate this." Leonard said with anger in his eyes but expressions as cold as ice.

"Hmm most probably it was a sniper." Harriet said.

"Yeah?" Leonard asked.

"Yeah, according to camera right here, there was not a shooter at the floor the bullet..came from this open window and shot Sabrina, she was supposed to die but due to the water on the floor here she slipped and that is when the sniper must have shot and well he/she missed a little but we are lucky they did." Harriet said as she described how the whole thing must've happened.

"I knew I had the smartest wife." Leonard said.

"It's my job." Harriet said.

"Thanks."

After this, Leonard went to the conference hall to dismiss the meeting.

"I guess it's the same guy. " Head 1 said.

"Maybe. But they could've hurt Mr. Leonard why her?" Head 2 said.

"God knows."

"What's going on?" Leonard asked.

What he heard next shocked him. Not just shocked but even angered him.

"Why did no one tell me? Why did you guys not inform anything to me?!" Leonard asked as he banged his hands on the table in anger.

"We..did sir.." All said together.

"Oh really?" Leonard said.

"Yes sir."

The people in front of him would not lie they didn't even have reasons to lie. Why would anyone lie about the killing attempt on themselves. After talking to all the heads from other countries Leonard found out that this kind of killing had been taking place for almost 2 months.

"Where is country B & Y's head." Leonard asked.

"Sir..they died....someone had shot them..." Their secretary said with head down in guilt for not being able to protect them.

"The meeting's dismissed." Leonard said and went out of the conference hall and straight went up to the head's office.

"They said they did inform about this...but I have not seen a single message, mail or anything..."

Leonard started typing some codes on the computer, after an hour or two..he found the problem.

"Someone didn't wanted us to know of this..so that they could catch us off guard...but who.." Leonard thought to himself.

As Leonard was still thinking of this, he looked at the time and it was evening already. Before going to home Leonard went to hospital to check on Sabrina. Sam was in her room he had fallen asleep beside her bed.

"Hang in there, okay? I will figure this out soon." Leonard whispered as he took a seat beside her bed and held her hand gently.

Just at this moment, Sam woke up from his nap and saw Leonard.

"Sir! So..anything you found?" Sam asked.

"Not much..but hey I need you to fix the system a bit...I tried many times but well not much luck..." Leonard said.

"Sure.." Sam said.

"Hmm okay and I guess you should go..you've been here leaving your work. Go rest." Leonard as he patted on Sam's shoulder.

"Hmm okay."
