Chapter 1: The Newly Appointed Village Chief

David, with a face full of joy, lowered his left hand holding the hunting bow, then swiftly maneuvered through the forest with agile movements. In the blink of an eye, he arrived by his prey: a deer lying on the ground with several arrows piercing its body.

Bending down, he placed the hunting bow aside, drew out a dagger, and delivered a fatal blow to the still-breathing prey. He then heaved the deer, still warm, onto a roughly made backpack, executing the entire process smoothly and skillfully.

"Heh!"

After taking a deep breath, he exerted force to stand up. Carrying the loaded backpack was a strenuous task for David, the weight more than he had anticipated.

"My strength has decreased significantly. I hope for a swift recovery."

Not long after entering the forest, David managed to obtain several tens of kilograms of deer meat. He was very satisfied with today's harvest. If his luck continued this way, he should be able to return to a normal state fairly quickly.

Carrying the hunting bow and a quiver full of arrows, David headed towards the direction of the 'home' outside the forest...

David was originally a very ordinary office worker on Earth, who somehow found himself in this world after an early death.

From his observations, he determined this to be a fantasy world similar to medieval Europe.
