Chapter 1: The Beginning

Aditya looked at the spitfire of his newly wedded wife whom he blackmailed into marrying him in exchange of releasing Mr. Rohan Basu from jail, his arch enemy. She was sleeping peacefully with his daughter beside her, her hand caressing Aashi’s hair lulling the little girl into sleep. He went to his study in the Basu Mansion and poured himself a drink. He went into the flashback of how he landed in India and the happenings since then.

1 MONTH EARLIER:

Aditya Bajaj, the CEO of Bajaj Designs & Contructions , one of the top three Buisiness Houses in New York City, landed in Kolkata, India along with his three year old daughter Aashi Agnihotri Bajaj. Aditya took deep breaths holding his daughter close to his chest as the place brought back dreadful memories of his past.

Past. He was in this city for his past. This city took from him more than anyone can imagine. His childhood, his house, his innocence and most importantly his life, his wife. Yes, he’s back again to this city which snatched everything from him to settle scores with some people. He is back for Revenge. Revenge from the people who destroyed his childhood. He had set his foot in this city almost after two years, the last time he visited he didn’t know that he wouldn’t see his wife and the mother of his daughter again.

Carrying his daughter in one hand and his luggage in another he went to the car parked for him by his gaurds who had arrived a day earlier to check all the requirements needed in his mansion and the details regarding his and his daughter’s safety. This time he didn’t want to take any chances. His daughter is his main priority and he doesn’t want to lose his daughter just like his wife.

For Aditya, his daughter Aashi is the apple of his eye. He didn’t have any troubles in nurturing his baby even though her mother isn’t with her. Aashi isn’t like normal children of her age, naughty and bubbly. She is a quiet child who doesn’t speak much like others. Back in New York, Aashi is surrounded by her extended families of her Uncles and Aunts and her cousin, but she hardly speaks with them. Aashi talks only with her father and only sometimes. Aditya understands his daughter’s wishes even though she doesn’t speak much. He know the reason behind Aashi’s silence is that she misses her mom just like Aditya misses his wife. Everyone in his family tried to talk him into a second marriage but he is adamant that he is enough for his daughter. He cannot give his wife’s place to anyone because he believes he’ll be betraying her if he did.

Aditya’s car stopped infront of a building made of glass which seemed to touch the sky. It was his office which was a counterpart of his business based in New York. Though his reason for the visit was Revenge, he knows he can’t defeat his enemies without firstly destroying their business.

Basu Designs is the Business house of Aditya’s enemies. The Basus are the most influential people of Kolkata. So, inorder to destroy them, he knew had to build his name in the market. And Sixth months back he expanded his business in India and within months his business was able to topple the Basus from the throne of Best Business House in India. But since he wanted to destroy them completely, his visit to India was a necessity. His 24 year long hardwork and patience for the destruction of his enemies has begun.

He first made The Basus lose important deals which caused them huge losses. If something similar happened to Aditya, he’d have been able to counter his losses but the Basu Business is in the hands of the heir who is nothing but a selfish, egoistic cassanova who hardly concentrates on his business. He had wondered how his fiancé was ignorant of his womanizing ways. He then planned and made the Basus to give him 50% share of their business and their mansion inorder to save their falling business But his plan didn’t include him marry the fiancé of Rohan Basu.

The day he first saw her was the day when he first signed the deal of owning 50% of Basu Designs. The way she saved his daughter from being run down by a car without being caring about her own life amazed him. The way she cared for his daughter scolding him of his carelessness, giving him a piece of her mind and the way his daughter whispered in a breaking voice “Mama” was forever etched in his mind.

It was then he realised how much his daughter misses her mom and he decided to give her daughter a mother as he fulfilled his daughter’s every wish. He devised a plan of sending Rohan to jail and blackmailed her to marry him. That is how the naive fiancé of Mr. Rohan Bajaj, Ms. Khushi Sharma became his wife Mrs Khushi Bajaj.
