45 The Alliance

"Hus-Abe, why do you have to bother? If you want Tina to forgive Olga, she'll do it."

I had told Celestine about Olga's amnesty by presenting to her the heads of the savage race and advertising public service, Olga also expressed the willingness to be punished with any punishment as Celestine saw fit other than execution and humiliation.

I also had told her that I and Olga were married, and she accepted it without a single shred of jealousy. Her reaction didn't come as a surprise, she was naive and pure, that's why she could welcome me as her husband despite no prior knowledge about me.

Many men perhaps wished to have a waifu like Celestine, who wouldn't question your polygamy or harem, who would agree for you to marry all other women, but it was different for me, I thought a woman who rejected my intention of building a harem felt more like a real person, after all, a human had feelings and desire, and when a woman had the desire to monopolize me, I was flattered.

"I agree, but Tina, you have to consider some issues, first, do you have the absolute authority in choosing a decision?"

Celestine's expression went dim, she shook her head, said, "No, Abe, each faction from the Alliance has the right to express their agreement or disagreement of a suggestion concerning Eos, but the final say is in the church's hand."

"Strange, you are their Goddess, right? Shouldn't the final say be in your hand?"

"I am their Goddess, but I don't participate in managing Eos, it is all the church's work."

So, she just like their idol? The church was the company, and Celestine was the idol or actress? Wasn't that mean the church had the power to manage her as well?

"That's not good, Tina, you are not just a Goddess, you are also their Queen, and that's not how a kingdom work, you should have the absolute power," I couldn't help but scold her, also what was she's doing attending to the plants instead of governing her people?

"But Abe, Tina doesn't know politics, and she doesn't have the ability to manage a kingdom, that's why she's fine handing it to the church," Celestine lowered her head, it's like a girl was being scolded by her daddy.

"And it worked well, right? Now when you want to decide something, you don't have the power, had you are the absolute ruler, one word is enough to change everything," I sighed, "it's okay to give out some works to others, after all, you shouldn't do everything on your own, but the right to decide should be on your hand, not the church."

"Abe, Tina is confused; if Olga has surrendered, then the problem is solved, right? Besides, Abe has killed all the savage race under Olga's army, the war is over, right?" Celestine said with a lower voice, I could sense a tone of excitement.

Technically yes, the war was over, but there were few things to be considered.

First, the ignorance of the Church and the Alliance concerning Celestine's warning about Volt, also it was the Church who sent Volt and his mercenaries instead of going all-out with the Alliance's army to finish off Olga.

It didn't make sense for them to ignore Celestine, even if she were just their queen, not a Goddess, denying her words should be enough to brand them as traitors, which a crime punishable by death. Also, what was the relationship between the Church and Volt? It could be nothing, but where it would be that simple? Did Volt really have high enough charisma that he's able to develop his mercenary group that big as of today? Or he has a backing of a powerful influence?

Second, what was the church's plan after they defeat Olga? Without her, the only thing would be missing was the Black Citadel's effect on the savage race, but it wouldn't destroy the savage race, did they plan to slaughter all the savage races? Then wouldn't it be the best to send all forces instead of just the mercenary?

Third, what would be of the mercenary after the war's end? Their existence was the result of the war between Celestine and Olga, would they be disbanded? Unlikely.

Fourth, did the Alliance put their loyalty to Celestine or the Church? I asked Celestine about it.

"Claudia is my knight, but Holy Knights as the whole are the church's special army, they are a stronger version of the templar, therefore, they listen to the Church's order...

Alicia and Prim are the West Kingdom's delegation to form a blockade, although they regard me as Goddess, the true relationship between us is an alliance, their lord is King Hector...

Kaguya is the East Kingdom's delegation, however, it wasn't for the blockade, but to spread their religion, the reason she and her people join the alliance is that her base is happened to be on Eos, so she didn't answer me or the church... but she follows Dragon Emperor's order...

Maia is the Queen of Mercenary, but it is actually just a name, she really doesn't have the power over the mercenary... although she doesn't listen to anyone, she promises me that she will protect one of the forts.

Ruu-ruu and her race agreed to join the alliance due to her race past event with the Goddess Larentia."

So, out of 6, three could be considered on her side; Claudia, Maia, and Ruu-ruu, and three could be enemies; Alicia, Prim, and Kaguya.

Unfortunately, Claudia could not bring the entire Holy knights, and Maia was a lone mercenary, so only Ruu-ruu had a force under her.

This wasn't good, if the church decided to go against Celestine, she would be outmatched in number, and I couldn't count on Maia to be willing to lay down her life to protect Celestine.

But was it possible? Was it possible for the church to fight their own Goddess? Yeah, it was possible, and funnily, only humans had this capability.

"Abe, what should we do?" Celestine noticed my worry, she couldn't help but feel the same.

"Don't contact the church yet, we send messages to each of the six women and ask for a secret meeting, this way we can communicate with them and discuss the matter personally..."

"Tina follows Abe's decision," Celestine nodded.

"Alright, to avoid the messages being intercepted, Tina, you write the letters, and I will use magic to deliver them all."
