36 35. Untainted Sword Body Technique

(Ye Chen's POV)

Inside the cave,

"Cough..cough.cough"

'I am alive'

Ye Chen thought as he coughed violently, he tried to get up but just as he got up an intense pain hurt his chest, it was the wound he got from the bullet.

He was quite confused as he was covered with a kind of bandage which looked like made up of leaves of aquatic plants.

"Someone saved me?"

He muttered as he looked around the cave he was in, it was filled with rocks and red colour algae growing all over the place.

A red colour light source attracted him and he tried to get up looking at where the light was coming from.

"Ugh"

His left chest where the heart should be in started to bleed, in the first place a normal human shouldn't have been alive after he was shot in the heart but Ye Chen is different as his heart is located at the right side of his body.

"What is it?"

He saw a black colour crude statue with glowing red eyes and holding swords on its both hands. It was the thing that was radiating this weird life.

"Oh you seem to have woken up?"

Suddenly a voice echoed throughout the cave and a figure of an old man wearing ancient robes stood in front of him.

But what surprised Ye Chen was the fact that the old man's body was completely see through.

'An Inheritance'

His master had told him that some cultivators create the inheritances where they could find a worthy successor who is worthy of them to pass on their techniques.

'Is this also one of those inheritances'

"Junior thanks the senior for saving his life"

Ye Chen somehow managed to bow down to the image of the person in order to show his respects.

The image of the old man laughed and praised Ye Chen and began telling him how he got inside of the cave.

The formation at the entrance of the cave only allows people with high grade talent to enter inside the cave.

He told him that he saved Ye Chen after seeing his wounds.
