"Who told you not to warm up before a spar?" Althea smiled, continuing to massage her husband's stiff shoulder.
"It's a bit uncomfortable," he said, looking sadly at his wife. The big man was like a huge dog asking for pity.
If his men saw him like this, they would be shocked to the point of aneurysm.
The captain they knew would not bat an eyelid when he was covered with blood. Now he was making ambiguous noises for a little stiff arm…
However, it worked, because Althea's heart broke a little and she kissed his cheek to comfort him.
