After ranting about the topic 'global warming' to mickey, my mouse, i sat near the window looking at the full moon, which means its the start of this month. My birthday. It is the worst yet best day of my life . Worst because i was born on my birthday and best because i saw him on my fourth birthday, the day i was brought here. I saw his teary eyes and messed up hair. I wanted to run and hug him and comfort him but i couldn't as i was held back by many buff men wearing black suits. From then i was treated like slave, was expected to be perfect ignoring the fact i was only 4!

I was given food 2 times a day and sometimes even once. I tried to give my life up at the age of 7 but that also went in vain as they had CCTV cameras all around my room and saw me attempting. After that i was starved for 2 days and also was locked up in a dark room which is now my comfort place. After that i started doing things which i knew would anger them and then they would always put me in this room. After i was 12, they also stopped giving me food as a punishment. I cared less.

I hear rattling of the lock of the door and saw May standing there, The head of the maids in this house. She is the sweetest person i ever met after the nannies in the orphanage. She came towards me and put her hands inside her big pocket of her apron and took out a box. My eyes teared after realizing it was food. She sat beside me and gave me the box and as soon i opened, i was overwhelmed with the aroma of the freshly baked cake. I inaudibly thanked her and started eating it . "Happy birthday dear." She wished me while caressing my head and i couldn't control my emotions and clinged on her and cried. From the day i came here, she is the only one cared about me, gave me food even though she was permitted not to and even received punishment because of me. I always admired her and her hard work. She was also brought here unwillingly when she was 13 and now she is 45.

I had vowed to bring justice to her and others who were innocent and were killed or mistreated by these monsters. After finishing the cake i asked her, " how were you able to come here? there would be guards outside the gate." She smiled at me at said, " How will the guards won't let me come, after all they are dependent on me for their food." I smiled at her laid on her lap as she caressed my hair and then cheeks. Some tears started to drop out of my eyes which didn't got unnoticed by May. She wiped my eyes and asked " What happened dear? why are you crying when i am with you huh." I shook my head and asked her " Didn't you ever missed your family ? I was born without a family so i don't miss anyone but you? you were 13 when they kidnapped you." She gave me a smile, the same one that always comforted me, always gave me peace. She then continued, "Yes, i miss them, very much, but know they are in a safe place above." I gasped, i never knew that her family were no more. "They were killed by these people for deceiving them and that's why they kidnapped me." At the end of the sentence May's sentence, her eyes were moist from tears. I hugged her tightly not letting her go at all. Maybe it's easy to be comforted by a person who has also endured the same kind of anguish, because they know what we are suffering from and which words will give us comfort.

We both talked to each other for hours and then it was time for her to go as the son of satan will be waking soon. She kissed my forehead and walked out after locking the door. I sat there realizing that now i am 16. That means i can stand on my own now . i can now even kill them.
