Jobs in hell
On the Hell bulletin board , I expected there to be various different categories of jobs. But contrary to my expectations there was only 3 listed documents or as per say quest in adventure language. Seeing me surprised, Tanya said " well this is to be expected we came late , the odd jobs here are few and gets taken by the earliest arriving people. Now only remains tasks that people don't want to undertake."
Well let's see the remaining jobs : first is
1. House servant job in princess Dante house
Award on type of performance
2. Catching the egg of salamander
Award = 1 Gold coin
3. Getting experimented for new medication at Dr. Ruffalio's mansion.
Award = 1 silver coin per day
" what the hell ? Just what the hell? what are these weird jobs? There is just no linearity between them."
Feeling my displeasure Tanya voiced " Well number 1 and 3 are almost there everyday but the second one is new"
Breathing rapidly and calming myself down I objectively looked at the 3 available jobs. So 3 is obviously out of option, it pays on a daily basis and it is regular listed job so it must be dangerous or maybe straight out torture. The 1st one includes that sadistic princess and it is also listed regularly so it must be a dark company job so obviously no. Which leave us with " salamander egg". Hmm salamander are those exotic type lizard right, they have them in hell, hmm still it pays quite a lot and also it doesn't state how many eggs are needed. Should I take it , well I won't know unless I try it. Thinking wordlessly I took the request off the board to study it in detail.
Seeing my action , Tanya was surprised beyond belief. Seeing her reaction was amusing, well leaving that aside let's see , the request is from some Dr. Ruffalio, wait the same as the third quest, well whatever .
Requirements are 1 Salamander unhatched egg with fully intact shell .Hmm a location and map of salamander is also given. It seems easy.
" Are you really going to accept that request ?"
asked Tanya . I said " Why ? it seems normal as compared to other". Tanya sighed a little and said "you don't think they are like Earth's Salamander. The salamander here means Fire breathing fucking dragons." I think I forgot to breathe for a few seconds , not because I was surprised but because I forgot this is hell and of course salamander would be like that Harry Potter dragon or something. "This is too much
let's try tomorrow." I placed back the request or so listed quest and was about to leave, when I felt a arm on my left shoulder. Glancing back I saw a fully armored person from head to toe . He was weary a silver call armor and smoke in a heavy voice " Are you also interested in the salamander job? want to work together?".
Seeing this suspicious Viking warrior I backed a little. On seeing my reaction he felt a little restless and took off his head gear and said " " oh sorry I forgot my manners. My name is Ronald . I want to complete the salamander job but I need allies .Would you care to help me ? I only need people to watch my back and I would do the main job and the profit will be split 60 40.what do you say ?"
Hearing his proposal out of nowhere I was taken aback and than I thought this is a nice
proposal and the risk work will be done by him. But stealing a dragon's egg seriously but wait Iam already dead so nothing worst could happen. Also the profit and risk factor is less .
what to do?
"Tanya what do you say" I glanced at her.
She immediately replied " IAM game if you are ok with it".
Such confidence I thought but she has died 7 times obviously she is not afraid and furthermore doesn't have anything to lose. Wait isn't it a win win situation for her.
" Hello Ronald my name is Danny and this is Tanya . Your stated conditions are really hard to refuse so I accept but I hope you don't do any foul play with us as we are relatively new to this".
Hearing my reply , Ronald chuckled a little and said " Don't worry I was a knight and I always keep my word, let's go". Saying this he started heading out of the building indicating us to follow him.
So he was a knight , I thought of him as a Viking. Oh well hope he live up to his name.
I followed after him along with Tanya.
We ventured out of the city and he told me it would take around 2 hours to reach there .
I asked him if we needed some belongings for the quest to which he replied he has already taken care of it all and there is nothing to worry. So , I started walking at a faster pace hoping to reach the destination soon.
The path outside of city was engulfed in red trees which I had never seen before so I named them hell tress . Moving through a narrow path along the Hell Trees I moved alongside my two companies in pin drop silence. The silence is quite awkward , I want to break it but I don't know what to say without sounding too rude.
So as I was having dielema of all these things , Tanya flatly asked " Have you done this before ? Also how long have you been in hell? . I thought asking the knight a personal question was rude but he replied without any discomfort." Yes I have done this once before and for my age well I don't particularly remember it has been long. Don't worry I will do all the work, you just tell me if the salamander is around. Also if you happen to see him, run without caring for me."
Really a knight like response I thought.
