Does He Have A Girlfriend?”

Annabelle entered the security code into the touchpad at the entrance of the bakery store where she worked. The day had come to an end and Anabelle felt sore all over from the pulling and lifting which were part of her everyday job at the bakery store.

Annabelle massaged the knot that had formed on her shoulder as she absentmindedly walked the street on her way home. The sky was stained orange with parts revealing shades of midnight blue; their sight was a wonder to behold; it was as though they were a painting drawn by an expert artist.

Annabelle spotted a nearby pharmacy and entered. She saw a man in a white coat with the letters 'Luke Rogers' printed on the breast pocket.

"Hi, I'm Luke and I will be your Pharmacist today. What would you like me to get for you?"

Annabelle saw the inviting smile of the man that introduced himself as the pharmacist. He had dazzling white teeth and very attractive green eyes. His side dimples made him so devastatingly handsome.

Annabelle subconsciously licked her lips as she wiped her hand against her work pants, "A bottle of acetaminophen tablets and an ibuprofen roll-on; please."

"That will be a total of 15.89 dollars."

Annabelle watched as the pharmacist reached for the shelf to pull out a transparent plastic bottle containing some white tablets and a small square package with a picture of a roll-on. Anabelle scanned the encrypted code on her phone to complete her purchase on the cash register.

"Are you the one using it or is it for someone else?"

Annabelle could not meet the eyes of the pharmacist, a faint blush soon appeared on her face, in a voice that was hardly audible she replied, "They are mine."

The pharmacist noticed how shy the young woman was, and decided against prolonging their interaction, "Each tablet is 500 milligrams; do not take more than 8 tablets a day this is to avoid liver damage."

"If you are taking other medicinal products that contain acetaminophen they also count towards your maximum daily dose of 4,000 milligrams. Avoid taking alcohol with your medication at all cost because it will affect the effectiveness of the medicine and in the long-term cause liver damage.

" Follow the directions for use as specified on your ibuprofen roll-on, and be sure to store your medications away from children. Preferably store them in a medicine cabinet"

Annabelle nodded as she heard the pharmacist explain how to use her over-the-counter medications. Annabelle reached for the paper bag that contained the acetaminophen and ibuprofen. In a soft voice she said, "Thank you."

After she walked out of the pharmacy, Annabelle thought back to her encounter with the pharmacist; a dazed smile appeared and she whispered dreamingly, "He is so handsome; he has such nice dimples. Does he have a girlfriend?"

Annabelle hugged the paper bag to her chest while walking down the alley that led to her home as she happily hopped from one leg to another.
