Kate Beckett sat down with Castle. Tonight they had their choice of seats, as the Angelica was less than a third full. "You're going to love Forbidden Planet, Castle." She said as she slipped her coat off.

"I hope so." Castle lied smilingly. And I hope you never find out I've seen it before.

The Lila Addison/Joe McUsic murder case had been a long and difficult one. As they sat watching previews of coming attractions that held no interest to Kate, she felt her eyelids getting heavy. No. She thought to herself. I will not fall asleep taking Castle to see one of my all time favorite movies. I will not. I'm a cop. I've stayed awake for hours and hours on a case.

But, as the previews droned on, Kate's head drifted to one side and she found herself with her head on Castle's shoulders. He won't mind. I'll just relax here for a minute. I'll be wide awake when the movie starts. I will not go to sleep. I cannot go….

The Starship C-57D entered the Altair solar system and headed for Altair IV. The captain, J.J. Castle, turned his ruggedly handsome face to the crew. "Prepare to land. Any communications from the planet?"

The Comm Officer shook his head. "Just some guy telling us not to land, Skipper."

J.J. Castle snorted in disgust. "No one tells Captain J.J. Castle not to land."

Soon, the saucer shaped craft landed on the planet's surface and the Captain and part of the crew disembarked to explore.

"This is a very bleak planet, Captain." Said Lieutenant Jerry Esposito.

The captain nodded. "It reminds me of my first two marriages, except there's more sex."

"More sex, sir?" Esposito asked, puzzled.

"Don't mind if I do." The captain said, laughing.

Lt. "Doc" Ryan laughed, as he did at all of the captain's jokes.

"Sir, there's some kind of a vehicle approaching at a high rate of speed."

"Can you tell if it's friendly?" The captain asked.

"Perhaps we should disintegrate it before it becomes a danger to us." Esposito said. Espo always did tend to be a bit overzealous.

"Only if it tries to burrow into our chests or something else kinky."

In seconds, a large metal robot arrived, towing a trailer. The robot tried to parallel park between two large boulders, but smashed both boulders doing so. "Greetings, I'm Demming the Robot. Dr. Jim Morbius sent me here to take you to his home."

"Cool." Said the captain. "Lieutenants Esposito and Ryan will accompany me. Shall we go?"

They roared off, but in five minutes, Demming had stopped and was looking at a map, mumbling to himself. "We got off on the Santa Altair Freeway….Should we have turned on Wilshire?...The Harbor Freeway is a mess this time of day…" Demming muttered to himself.

"Excuse me," Captain Castle said, "but the only building visible from space is the one about fifteen feet to our right."

Demming promptly looked to his left. "You must have great vision."

"Your other right."

In another fifteen minutes, Demming pulled up in front of Dr. Morbius' home. There was not only the distinguished looking doctor, but his daughter, Kate. Captain Castle immediately fell in love. Kate was tall, had great legs, a fantastic smile, killer cheekbones, hazel eyes, chestnut hair and a perfect….Oh, you know about that.

Captain Castle pushed his two lieutenants down onto the ground to be the first one to talk to Kate. As he chatted with the lovely young woman, Dr. Morbius blathered on about some long vanished race called the Prells or some damned thing, and described how the ship they had come on had been destroyed when the rest of the research team tried to leave. Yada, yada, yada. Couldn't Morbius see Captain Castle had more important things on his mind?

"So, can we take a walk?" J. J. asked the lovely Kate.

"Just watch out for the Monsters from the Id." Morbius cautioned.

"Yeah, we'll bring two back for dinner." The Captain replied nonchalantly.

They weren't more than a hundred yards from the house when the Captain and Kate suddenly saw a great glowing figure that appeared to be astride some two wheeled vehicle.

"It's a Monster from the Id." Kate said, pulling her sidearm and handing J. J. her backup piece.

"No, wait. We should distract it." J.J. said.

"How?"

Before she could say another word, J.J. grabbed her and kissed her, running his tongue along her lips until she opened her mouth. The Monster from the Id turned and moved away.

"That was amazing!" Cried J.J.

"What was that?" Asked Kate.

"A kiss. Haven't you ever kissed anyone?"

"Duh! Like who would I kiss? My dad? Demming the Robot? Ewww. Gross."

If they had listened carefully they could have heard the sound of a robot crying. Now she will never be mine. Demming the Robot thought to himself. I wonder if Gort has a sister?

Sensing danger, Kate leads J.J. Castle back to their home. Where he confronts Doctor Morbius.

"Doctor Morbius, I think we should go back to our ship until this Monster from the Id can be destroyed or neutralized." J. J. said to the doctor, keeping one arm around Kate's trim waist, his hand moving down to her perfect…Oh, you know what's perfect.

"Nonsense, my boy. Demming the Robot can protect us perfectly well." J.J. notices that Demming the Robot is trying to vacuum, but is ramming the vacuum cleaner into the wall all while leaking some sort of yellow fluid onto the floors.

Later that night, J.J. and Kate Morbius sneak off for a little make out session. Once again, just as things are starting to get interesting, the glowing Monster from the Id arrives on a glowing two wheeled vehicle. They run back to the house where Demming the Robot is making obscene gestures to the Monster. "You want some of this, Monster?" Demming howls.

The Monster, angry now, TP's Demming and rides off, laughing.

"That's it." J.J. says, determinedly. "We're all going back to the good ship C-57D." Then J.J. began to sing:

"Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale,"A tale of a fateful trip"That started from this tropic port"Aboard my mighty ship."

Demming drove them to the ship and they quickly boarded, taking only six hours to load Kate's superb collection of coats and shoes. In the meantime, she changes her hairstyle. Four times.

"Captain," cried Senior Master Chief Petty Officer Karpowski, "by the prickling of my thumbs, something big and powerful this way comes." Captain J.J. Castle made sure his crew was well read.

"Fire phasers and photon torpedoes." The captain yells. "Stand by to repel boarders. I love the smell of phasers in the morning…"

"No effect, sir." Karpowski reported.

"Excuse me, Demming. Would you mind going outside and looking for my jacket? It's cold in here." Kate says softly.

Demming the Robot rushes off to do Kate's bidding. As he leaves the ship, the ship takes off. The Monster from the Id soon reduces Demming the Robot to scrap. But, the monster is left all alone with its plasma two wheeled vehicle.

Once away from the Altair system, Captain J. J. Castle and Kate Morbius decide to become a couple. "But only if I can drive." Kate said.

"Kate?" J. J.'s voice whispers in her ear.

"Hmm?"

"The movie is over. You slept through most of it."

"I did? Why didn't you wake me?"

"You looked so tired and I thought you needed the sleep. We don't have to go to Remy's if you don't want to."

Kate shook her head. "I'm rested now and hungry. But you're paying for the meals."

Castle readily agreed. "And I'll take you to see Forbidden Planet the next time you're free."

That may be sooner than anyone thinks. Kate thought.
