Chapter 16 : THE MOVEMENT

The movement means everything to me, the movement saved my life so the movement is my life.

How I joined the movement, I had been hearing about the movement as a little boy growing up in the village, grown up people talks about it with so much contempt while some of our fathers talks about it with so much fear, some of them quakes with great terror at the mentioning of the movement, although my own father I've never heard him talk about it but I've never also seen him participate in any Nigeria governmental issues, I've never seen him go to church for once since my life but I've seen him read the bible oftentimes. So as a little boy growing up in the village we were taught to listen to our elders while they are speaking, in the church, in the school, at home and outside, we were taught to follow what the elders says and never to say otherwise, The issues of the movement were not really understandable as a kid especially when most men quakes with great fear at the mentioning of the movement, in school they never taught us about how bravery our forefathers were, in the church they never prayed for the lost souls of the heroes and heroins of our land, no history talked about their creativity during the movement and their courageousness, only some of our noble fathers who happened to have survived the movement could tell their children what really happened and how the movement began, unfortunately my own father was just 4 years when the movement began in 1966-1967-1970 and his elder brother was 7 years and their younger sister was just 2 years when it all started, and they lost their both parents during the movement, starting with their father first 2 years after the movement was ongoing and their mother 1 year while the movement was calm, so I didn't get much part of the movement from him secondly we never have talked about anything as father and son while I was growing up from my 1 year to my 19 years I've never had any father and son talk with him, we just talk on phone now because of maturity, because when I traveled to town everything subsided both timidity and naivety, I was always I wise kid though, very brilliant thank God,

I was always a kind of kid that wants to make things right by every body, I was always a kind of kid that could do anything to make his friends happy, one of my biggest dreams as a kid then was that one day I would rule my country then as one of the best leaders they never had because the bad complain about the country's every activities is much, even a kid could notice it's negative effect, so you can imagine a country that has failed even a child That is born today, so my point of view was just making everything to work very fine for every body, although I have not given up on that dream and I believe it will definitely come through to the right people my people.

So when I traveled to town everything went moribund, I began to face reality,I began to experience the real life in a bad country,it was very tough so see the shades of light at the end of the tunnel in the country and it has seemed that no one is even talking about it, the rich people are busy getting rich and living well with their families minding their business while the poor masses never really had anything to contribute or benefit.

"There's this saying that says if you want to conquer a nation you first conquer her religion and her history"

So we never had the formal knowledge about the country's real origin, what we knew was what they told them to teach us both in school and in the church, and what the country had become is what they really intended for the country until the movement arose.

To survive in the country was very difficult especially since we didn't really know what the cause of the hardship was because we are not formally informed and no one seems to be saying anything true about it either until the movement began.

The struggles for survival continued I have not heard anything about the movement until 2018 when I had just turned 22 and I was already self employed.

I have my businesses that I started myself when I was 22 till now, still running, thank God.

Surviving in the

As a child, one of the most frequent and continuous stories we hear in our villages is always about how the country has failed her people by selling her rights to strangers every day every time and how the country's bad economy has negatively influenced every living things in the country.

So I began asking questions that was quite above my age, like what really happened?? who invaded who?? Who invited this people to our country?? Who called them?? Who requested for their help?? Is it by force to accept help?? I began asking questions and the more I was getting answers more questions couldn't stop coming fort.

I searched further to know who is really at fault in this movement, then I began to realize the truths about the movement but that was after I listened to someone who is entrusted to lead the movement, I began to know the truths after I listened to the one that was sent to come and accomplish the movement.
