Long ago a great calamity struck the earth, destroying much of it and merging what remained with pieces of other worlds. After Zirani was done explaining everything, Sandra frowned and I could tell through the bond she was frustrated and a bit annoyed.

"Why is it we always run into problem after problem?"

"Bad luck in some cases and curiosity in others," I answered. "I mean it's not like we would have done anything about the slaves if we hadn't tailed the three who harrassed Misty and we wouldn't know about this without Aneva. We could ignore this, but well that's not us."

"True enough." Zirani sighed. "This trip isn't going to be as easy as we first thought. We need to get rid of this danger as soon as we can before it's too late and more people get involved. If this expedition is broken then it's going to be near impossible to get to my lands let alone back to the city."
