Hey, guys, sorry for my lateness! xD

I had my 25 birthday and was a little broken from the party that followed with me catching cold fewer and thus having zero mood to write or even use your comments to edit my errors!

But don't worry, even if I still feel like shit from the fewer, my mind is full of ideas about the story, so there is a chapter!

Btw thanks for all comments about my grammar errors, I will try to use them in the following day, maybe with wine in one hand as editing really isn't my cup of tea xD

It started with one single push of a button, Aegis now didn't know how exactly he should or would be procced, but Weiss's words ring true to his heart desires.

One of many Aegis's apprehension was possible Grimm tide that could come from underground when he would take Atlas into his hands.

That was a reason why from the moment the worm Grimm became a thing, Aegis planned and built underground complexes under Mantle that was strengthened with sturdy metals and a high amount of concentrates, no need to speak about multiple defense points in case the worm Grimm would be able to breach one of the tunnels.

Then came AA turrets that were built around Mantle and in some places even inside Mantle on civilian buildings as to cover up any space around the bustling city.

Lastly came upgrade of Maria wall that was reinforced, and a new type of railguns was placed unto and onto it, making it even for a horde of goliaths hard to breach as one shot from railgun cannon is able to rip Grimm goliath into pieces.

Another defensive system was more experimental to Aegis liking but it was harmless if it would malfunction, a fusion generator-powered hard-light barrier that is a combination of fusion energy and hard-light dust.

On a small scale, it was proven to withstand ten railgun cannon shots in succession until it expired from unstable energy problems.

Already Schnee manor was covered by such energy shield but manor and Mantle are entirely different things, one fusion generator is able to feed the manor shields 24/7 until some attack but for Mantle that was different, for Mantle to be covered by hard-light shield it would need at least four standard fusion generators, or one big, very bigger, and then there was a problem of strain as Grimm liked to attack Mantle, so what Aegis has done was to secretly build six standard fusion generators under the Mantle that would power up city shields in case of Grimm tide coming to say Hi.

Of course, that was the last option action as until now Aegis scientist/engineers cant find a way for the shields be just one way as even if shields are to be erected, it would mean both sides cant hurt each other until the shield falls.

Another reason Aegis will delay the coup is that he or rather his people stole from Atlas scientist, more pointedly from Pietro Pollendina, who is in the final phase of creating A.I android, Aegis will wait until the right time before contacting the good doctor and give him a choice to either join or risk his work life as Aegis will destroy the P.E.N.N.Y project if it/she stands in his way.

Back to the point, after looking into Penny's blueprints, Schnee scientists found out that they could create laser rifles as Penny had laser weaponry inside arsenal, Aegis who heard it was ecstatic as it would drastically lighten his logistical strain when it came to ammunition as laser rifle in theory needed just energy to work.

And with advanced merge between dust and fusion technology, Aegis is sure that they could safely make laser weapons both for soldiers and for heave defense emplacements.

So Aegis would wait, a half year after Weiss's birthdays will Aegis act, and the world wouldn't be ever same until then test and investigation would be made on who needs to die and who can live as Aegis will not have cancer in his backyard.

"Again working? You just get home, and first, you do is to sit behind your big wooden desk and look at your progress?"

Iris said as she and Alexandra came to Aegis's office.

"Ara ara Iris, you should know our boss, Aegis just show us his love differently than normal men would."

Alexandra said teasingly as she presented Aegis documents she has done in his absence.

"But the more he works, the more we can be sure we are safe."

Alexandra said with a smile as Aegis's head touched his desk upon seeing the paperwork she gave him.

"I thought the reason secretaries exist is because they should help their bosses with paperwork."

Aegis's muffled voice could be heard his face that is pressing on his desk.

"Yes, that's true, and because of that, you have just these, you don't want to know what we needed to do in your absence, so better to thank us."

Iris said with little venom as she remembered the work she and Alexandra needed to do when Aegis was away.

"It was just eight days!"

Aegis said as he looked at the women who smiled at him evilly.

"Stop whining Aegis, or do you want to see paperwork we needed to do for the stunt you guys done in Mistral? Do you think that buying a Royal palace is like buying a normal home? NO! THE PAPERWORK WAS HEAVIER THAN TWIN BROTHERS CHRONICLES!"

Iris said with red and teary eyes as if she remembered a nightmare.

"FOR ONE FUCKING BUILDING! AAAARRRRRRGGGGGGG!"

Iris said as she flailed with her hands in defeat.

"There, there, I know your pain."

Alexandra said with a pout as she embraced Iris.

Aegis was entire time looking at them with deadpan eyes that were even more deadpanned when he saw Raven look into the room at the circus and immediately close the door in her retreat.

"Really?"

Aegis said at the theatrics of his family.

"Oh yes, really, you want us to stop? Tell us about your last night!"

Alexandra said with a glint in her eyes.

"Oh, yes, tell us tells us!"

Iris said as she hopped back to her feet with clear excitement in her eyes.

Aegis looked at them with such dead eyes that they could swear they broked him.

"That all was just for making me tell you about my night with Weiss im right?"

Aegis said with a sight that changed into a groan as he saw the doors into his office open little as wild black hair could be seen to stick out.

"Really, Raven? Really?"

Aegis mumbled to himself as he looked at the grow-up women that looked and acted as band of high schoolers who heard the most juice gossip in school.

"You are impossible."

Aegis said as he looked at their eyes that just screamed in joy.

"But, I wouldn't have it the other way."

Aegis said to himself as he smiled little, after all even a monster needed a family that could make them feel human...
