Chapter 9:A New Guild A New Quests

I stood up and went to the quest giver

"Good afternoon madame, um, we are new here and those guys there are my friends*pointed at Kirby and Jayden* so uuhhhh, I am looking for quests?" I said to the quest giver

"Well before that, have you already joined a guild and what are your ranks?" She asked

I called Jayden and Kirby, me and Jayden showed our guild rank card

"Oh right, this guy here is planning to join the guilds so he's a beginner and he's in our group" I said to the quest giver while pointing at Kirby

She looked at our guild rank cards, she gave it back and showed us 3 scrolls

Ogre Hunt:There are reports of an ogre in the whisperwind forest just west of Silverhaven killing some local hunters and local farmers. As a part of the guild, your quest is to eliminate the ogre immediately or more people will be harmed.

Big Goblin Hunt:There are reports of a rare big goblin sighted on Eldertree Woods south of Silverhaven. As a part of the guild, your quest is to hunt down the big goblin before he will do such things to travelers, people of the village, and others more.

Rare Herb:The guild is in need of a guild member to find a rare herb called Sunlightbloom in the Whisperwind Forest. As a part of the guild member, your mission is to find a herb called Sunlightbloom in Whisperwind Forest, it can only be done in the morning since the flowers open when met with sunlight.

Last Found:Whisperwind Forest South of Silverhaven

Reward:2,200 gold coins

Style:Tulip-like her and blooms when contact with sunlight

"Here's a beginners card for the new and the 3 beginners quests" she said to Kirby

Farm-Stealing Goblins:Goblins reported from a nearby village on the west stealing the farmers harvest. As a guild member, your job is to guard the farmers land and kill all the goblins who tried to steal their harvest.

Location:West Village

Reward:800 gold coins

Deer Hunt:The east forest named Mystical Forest also known as the forbidden forest is full of deers. As a guild member, your job is to hunt 8 deer to lower the population of deer, don't go deep in the woods or you'll die from a Warlock.

Location:Mystical Forest

Reward:700 gold coins

Herb in Need:A herb called Waterbloom in the Mystical Forest from the east forest is in need for the herbalist. As a guild member, your job is to find the herb from the east forest, it blooms when near a water source.

Located: Mystical Forest

Reward:470 gold coins

Huh, even the beginner quests have high rewards or I think it is more expensive in this town than from Luminaria. We accepted the quests and took all the scrolls and went out of the guild.

"Before we separate from you Kirby because your quests location is different from our quest location, we need a place where we will meet up or we might get lost from searching for each other." I said to Kirby

"Oh, your right" Jayden said

We all thinked

"Oh I know, an inn" I said to them

"Good idea" Kirby said

We went to find an inn, we asked the nearby people where the inn is, we found one. We went in, I asked the people from the counter.

"Good evening my ladies, the three of us want to rent a room, how much per night?" I asked

"Oh, good evening fellow knight, it is 30 gold coins per night" she replied

I knew it, it is more expensive here. We took our room keys and went to our room, it is similar from the inn from Luminaria but the chest is just at the end of the bed. I put my clothes on my chest and went out to wait for the two.

The two went out, we exited the guild. We said goodbye to Kirby because he's going west village to guard the farmers plant. Me and Jayden stayed to plan what quest to do first.

"Hmmm, I heard that big goblins are weaker than ogre so we'll do the big goblin first as a warm up for the next quest the ogre hunt and then do the herb quest after doing the ogre" Jayden said

Okay then, we went to the Eldertree Forest and entered, we both went deeper and find a clearing...we found one.

We looked around, we saw a big goblin 6 feet tall just sitting, there's a big wooden beside the goblin, I think it's the goblins weapon

"Okay so the plan is, we sneak behind it and backstab it on the neck, you because rogued are sneaky, I'll just wait behind and attack if you're in danger" I said to Jayden

"Okay, sounds good" Jayden replied

I followed behind Jayden and stopped, I watched Jayden getting nearer to the goblin. Jayden is behind the goblin, Jayden raises his hand with his dagger ready to stab.

*Schlck*

*RAAAAAAAAAAUUUUURR*

The goblin wailed in pain as the dagger stab it's neck, Jayden is shock and ran back to me and went beside me, we just watched the goblin. I readied my sword and shield and Jayden took out a spare dagger, we both readied our stance.

The goblin just staggered trying to reach the dagger, he reached it and pull it out and threw it away over the trees. He turned his gaze at us, his eyes is full of pain, the neck is still gushing out blood.

Jayden and I stood side by side, a mismatched pair against the towering adversary. In that charged moment, adrenaline coursing through our veins, we locked eyes, a silent understanding passing between us as we prepared to face the looming threat.

With a thunderous crash, the big goblin lunged forward, its massive fists poised for destruction. Jayden and I braced ourselves, hearts pounding in unison, ready to stand our ground and fight against the formidable foe that stood before us.
