Taking a Quest!

I wonder what the system and sponsor want now, they're probably here saying I've been having too much fun, and that I must now pay Magical Essence every day to keep playing, or else I'll die, because they know I haven't been absorbing much Magical Essence lately, I've been training [Yes he has and this chapter he's gonna show off! Finally!]

<Your Sponsor is here to tell you something, that he will begin handing you quests, you will be able to find them near every tavern, a notice board, every notice board has about six quests each, rip off the quests that are interesting to you and they will be added to your quest log. You can also ask, 'Hey system, where's the nearest notice board?' And the system will tell you where the nearest one is.>

<And now a not from your system, please don't spam,'Hey system, where's the nearest notice board?' It'll go on strike and continuously whine about how you overwork it, have fun!>

Well that was informative, there's a tavern nearby, I wonder how it is, considering how odd this culture is, I wager the tavern well reflect so, I also wonder wonder what quests I could find...

I find 3 quests on the Notice Board (Its just a board of wood), one was about finding some missing chickens, which would take too long, another one speaks of killing a Entian, why should I? Its done nothing wrong! .... probably. And ooooh, the third one is truly interesting, a gold vein is located nearby, wait, what!? Thats not a quest!

'Hey system, why is this 'Quest' here? It's not really one! It's giving information after all!'

<Oh yeah, Notice Boards also give some information from time to time, however there is usually is a very large risk involved, so it may not be the best idea since your so weak>

I pull off the contract from the Notice Board, when system notify me, <You have taken the Intelligence Quest, Gold Vein! You now must find the gold in the next three days or you fail this Intelligence Quest you will lose 15,000 Magical Essence>

The system then gives me some directions to the vein, it was already getting late, so maybe we'll go tomorrow, darn, I really wanted to master my Weapon Mutation technique as quick as possible, but I feel like if I don't start tomorrow I won't find the area in time, which would be very bad.

"Everyone! I found a treasure map!" I say, all beams and happiness, and everyone looks in a 15 meter radius, the Foxen look at me in a delirious expression, like I'm the most cute picture they've ever seen, I don't feel like thats a good thing, and the guys, at least with Foxen with them were looking in pity, like I was screwed or something, which was even odder, jealousy was expected but not pity! Whats wrong with these people!

"Master, they're looking at you funny, maybe we should go inside before some crazy slutty cats chase you," Violet says, without even waiting for my response, just lifts me up like a toddler and carries me inside, and the women then look even odder, were they blushing?!

As we enter the tavern the interior was relatively plain, aside for the staircase to go upstairs, the room has low tables made with polished spruce wood, the plates were made from porcelain, and the utensils were made of dark, nearly coal-looking iron. The staircase was made with unique carvings, that I would only guess either told a story or was their gods.

And with a closer inspection, I found out that this wood was different, it had a more mahogany look, turning to the person at the counter I ask, "Excuse me sir, I can't help but notice that the wood here is different from the rest of the village, why is that?" I ask, the man in his 50s looked up from whatever he was doing.

"That young man, is an ancient monument, to our migration to this area, it was made from one of the wagons, thats why it has a different texture and look. Also, just for you to know, all buildings made of wood use the same material, wood from the nearby forest because of how cheap it is. Now would you look weary, would you like a room for tonight?" He offers.

The sunlight pours into my vision, the room was as empty as the dining rooms, just a few beds and a table, and they charged 40 Silver Coins! I guess they are the only Tavern in this area, so they can charge as much as they want. "Good morning, Violet... how are you always awake before me?!" I whisper, trying to not awake the others, Lantla is know to be particularly cranky, tentacles cranky to be precise.

I softly patter outside as quietly as possible, trying not to awake anyone else, Violet joins me but doesn't do as much heed to her steps as I did, actually she probably didn't even try, "Are you trying to wake them up?! You know they're cranky if you do!!" I say, this time a little louder than this time just when I exit the room and shutting the door behind me.

The girls were already sitting downstairs, laughing over breakfast, I quickly turn around in confusion, how did they teleport there? "Oh, Sasha was practicing her illusions by the way," Violet says.

I sit down and enjoy breakfast, eggs, before setting off for the gold vein.
