Chapter 1: Beginning

It has been a year, a whole year since I first arrived in this world. My name is Nikolai Hansen, but I prefer to be called Nike, it sounds cool to me.

I work as a mechanic at a car workshop, and my hobbies mostly include reading novels, comics, and playing games.

The name of the game is Pale World, a computer game that I have been playing for five years.

The game is very difficult, almost impossible to complete, because there are many traps and monsters, as well as various strange curses that can kill you.

Then one day, right after I reached Level Nine and was about to reach Level Ten, suddenly the screen of my computer lit up brightly, and when I regained consciousness, I found myself in a hut near a forest, located in a village.

With a thick, pale mist surrounding the entire village, yes! I was in the Pale World.

In the game that I had been playing for a very long time, at first I didn't know where I was until I met some people, but I didn't understand anything they said.

Because I had never heard the language they were using before, if you think that when someone is transported to another world, they instantly master the language of that world, then you are greatly mistaken. What kind of foolish ideology is that?

It took me ten months to understand and learn the basic language they were using. During these ten months, I learned a lot, starting with the world I was in.

Pale World, as mentioned in the game, is the common history of this world. The Creator God created this world in just Twelve Months, Thirty Days, One Week, and Twenty-Four Hours.

That's why there are counts of Years, Months, Weeks, Days, and Hours.

But after the Creator God built this world and life began to thrive, with various living creatures such as humans, Elves, Beastskins, Dwarves, Fairies, Dragons, and various other monsters and creatures.

Suddenly, the Creator God fell asleep. Yes, it is said that the Creator God fell asleep, and this sleep caused the Pale Mist to appear all over the world.

However, various Villages and Cities, inhabited by various living creatures, remained safe, without a trace of the Pale Mist spreading into those Villages and Cities.

This made all living creatures believe that even though the Creator God was asleep, He still protected His creations.

Thousands of years have passed, during this time, various experiments and research have been conducted.

Many things have been discovered about the Pale Mist, for example, there are still living creatures residing within the Pale Mist.

However, every living creature within the Pale Mist has undergone corruption, either transforming into strange mutated creatures or becoming insane creatures without reason, whose goal is to kill other living creatures.

Also, during these thousands of years, many changes have occurred, such as the existence of what is considered as Gods and Goddesses, who have appeared since the spread of the Pale Mist throughout the world.
