Chapter 3 Different Forces (Rewrite)

6 months later.

*knock* *knock*

"Ichijou-san, please wake up. We will be late to go to school later." Said the voice outside the bedroom as that person knocked the door.

"5 minutes, Kio." Replied Kanda lazily as he still laying on the bed.

"Wake up, Ichijou-san. You will make teacher mad at you again if you come late to school." Said the person outside called Kio.

"Fine, I understand. I will wake up right away." Said Kanda as he slowly rises from his bed while scratching his head and yawning before he went to the bathroom.

15 minutes later, Kanda goes downstairs while wearing his uniform and he see that there are already two figures at the dining table. The first one is Kakuzu Kio, a bespectacled teenager with brown hair and blue eyes. Next one is Kinjou Manami, a tomboyish girl with brown eyes and short light brown hair.

"Good morning, sleepy-head. Come on, let's eat, I already hungry by waiting for you here." Greeted Manami impatiently.

"Haha...Good morning, Manami. Early you arrive this morning." Replied Kanda as he laughs slightly.

"It's not like you don't know Manami-chan, Ichijou-san. She is too lazy to make breakfast so she always comes here to eat. I pity her future boyfriend that he will starve to death as she cannot make breakfast for him." Explained Kio while he shakes his head.

"Kio-chi, you really like to run your mouth lately. Do you want me to hit you?!" Threatened Manami as dark aura rose from her body while she crackling her fist at Kio.

"Sorry, Manami-chan. Please don't hit me, I'm just joking with you!!" Said Kio as he raises both of his palms in front of him as a defense posture.

"Hmmpphh...just you know." Manami harrumphed while sitting back on her chair.

"You two *sigh*, I thinks like I had watched a drama scene of a couple fighting with each other in this morning. Don't spread dogfood in front of me. I'm jealous right now."

As Kanda said that, Manami and Kio blush furiously before Manami says, "Who want to couple with this otaku?"

"Yeah right, Ichijou-san. Manami-chan already have a boyfriend named Jack. Why should she couple with me? How about you, Ichijou-san? I heard another girl from our school confessed towards you." Followed Kio before change the topic towards Kanda.

When Kio said that she had a boyfriend, Manami's expression suddenly become gloomy for a moment before quickly disappear.

"Well, I can only reject her kindly as I still not trying to see anyone for now." Kanda shakes his head as he saw Manami's expression before answered Kio's question.

"Anyway, let's eat right now so we can go to the school." Said Manami immediately as she do not want to talk about previous matter.

Next, they finished with their breakfast before going to the school together as they talking along the way.

At school, during the lunchbreak.

Kanda goes to the cafeteria with Kio as he in the same classroom with him where they met Manami and another girl at one of the tables in the cafeteria.

That girl is Futaba Aoi which currently she is wearing a pair of glasses and has hime-like appearance where she has green eyes and long black hair that reached her waist.

"Yo, Manami, Aoi-chan. You're already arrive already." Said Kanda as he raises his hand to greet them.

"Hello Ichijou-kun, Kakuzu-kun." Greeted Aoi politely.

"Kanda, Kio-chi. Quickly order your food and sit with us here." Ordered Manami as she folds her arms.

"Ok, wait for awhile. Let's go, Kio." Said Kanda before dragging Kio with him to the food counter without caring about Kio's refusal.

Kanda and Kio bought their food before they sat at the table where Manami and Aoi sat on.

"Manami, why today you eat at the cafeteria today? Usually, when we invite you, you always gives us an excuse, "I already have this magnificent yakisoba bread in my hand" like that." Asked Kanda as he showed Manami's talking posture.

"Where am I talking like that, Kanda?! Don't slander me or I will hit you!!...Well, I just accompany Aoi here as she want to try eating at the cafetaria so...here am I." Retorted Manami as she clenched her fist before loosen before explaining the reason.

"It's not like you can hit me. Don't you remember how many times you had been defeated by me. If you want to hit someone, just hit Kio." Said Kanda at Manami which cause angry tick appear in her forehead.

"Ichijou-san. Please don't involve me with your fight with Manami-chan." Said Kio warily as he eating.

"So Aoi-chan, how the food at the cafeteria? Is there any food that you like?" Kanda quickly changes the topic and asked Aoi in front of him.

"The food here is quite good, Ichijou-kun. I really like their miso ramen here. The noodle is so tender but firm. More important is the soup, the soup is very flavorful and has rich taste. Overall, it's fantastic." Explained Aoi about the food with full of vigor where Kanda, Kio and Manami listening to her explanation. As Aoi realized that others watching her, she immediately blushed and her face become red like tomato.

"If Aoi-chan really likes that food, I will try it later." Chuckled Kanda as he said that.

"Mou....you're so mean, ichijou-kun." Said Aoi while pouting which cause Kanda to laugh.

As Kanda laughing and Aoi pouted when she heard Kanda's laugh, Manami and Kio just silently watching their interaction in front of them before Manami comments about them.

"You know Kanda, if I do not know you better, I will think that you and Aoi are couple." Said Manami.

Aoi's face blushes before she retorts, "Manami!!! What are you talking about!!!"

"Well, if the girl is cute like Aoi-chan, maybe I will try to make her as my girlfriend." Said Kanda with a smile.

Aoi becomes embarrassed listened to Kanda's words which cause her to face at her food and slowly nibbles her meal.

Next, they spent time during lunchbreak together as Aoi's face become really red due to embarrassment before they finally return to their respective classes.

School ended, on the way back to go home.

"Ichijou-san, don't forget that on summer break, our neighborhood will organize a memorial services and we have been invited by Uncle Yuuichi to help the people there." Said Kio at Kanda before he turns to Manami and says, "Do you want to join us too, Manami?"

"Sorry, Kio-chi...I'm a bit busy on that day." Answered Manami as they walking together.

"Alright, Kio. I also want to meet Uncle Yuuichi as I want to thank him for helping me previously." Answered Kanda while nods his head.

"That's right, that night really had surprised me when suddenly Uncle Yuuichi come to my house and bringing a boy while asking that he need to rent a room for himself." Said Kio as speak about the past.

"Hahaha, well what can I do. I do not know anyone here and I coincidentally had met with Uncle Yuuichi which he was generous enough to help me." Replied Kanda as he laughing while scratching his head.

"It's can't be help then. However, don't forget that today's dinner is your turn to cook so don't dare you forget about that." Sighed Kio before reminding Kanda.

"Hahaha, alright, Don't worry. Just leave it to me for the dinner tonight." said Kanda as he laughing loudly while hitting Kio's back.

"To think that someone like you can cook delicious food." said Kio dissatisfied.

"Well, you can say that it's my talent." Said Kanda cheekily while giving thumbs up.

After that, Kanda and Kio went home and eat their dinner while they had been joined by Manami before she went to her home later. Kanda and Kio sleep on their own room as they had some works to do tomorrow.

When Manami went home after the dinner at Kio's house before she pull out her communication device in her room and contacting someone.

"Hello, JACK. Do you have any information today?" Asked Manami after the call is connected.

"Hello, Manami. Well...there's no information yet today except that we still receive same message just like 6 months ago although current message is more often compare tk before. For the 'Starlight' accident also had no new information as the investigation about that become futile as they cannot find any evidence except that strange mark on the beach." Explained JACK.

"Then, what will we do next?" Asked Manami again.

"Nothing. However, just be alert as we assume that there will something happen later as the frequency of the message being delivered is increasing." Answered JACK.

"Ok, JACK. If I have any news on my side, I will inform you later." Said Manami.

"Alright, Bye Bye." Replied JACK to Manami.

At the sea, 10 miles from the shore.

A light cruiser ship can be seen following medium-sized ship as people in that medium-sized ship started to shoot at the cruiser ship's crew. The fight continues as both sides suffer some casulties.

In one of the container at the cruiser ship, a figure in black bodytight suit can be seen.

"I'm going out there." Said the figure in black bodytight suit firmly in the intercom.

"Hold on, Momiji." Said the voice on the other side of intercom.

"People are going to die, Endou-san." Said Momiji.

"And people will still die if you head out there." Retorted Endou to Momiji.

"Not the same people." Said Momiji.

"Wait until we receive the orders-" Before Endou could finish speaking, Momiji says, "Type-7, activate."

"[Type-7 Jyugo Human Strength Amplification Suit, activate]" Machine voice suddenly appeared in that container.

Momiji starts to stand up from the machine inside that container before the cables that connected to the device on her back start to disconnect one by one. She going to the platform where additional part of her suit been stored before the container starts to open up and launched Momiji off.

Momiji quickly arrived at the deck of enemy ship after being flown off from the cruiser ship. The enemies start to shoot at her but no damage had been detected on her body due to her suit's defense.

"Equipment set: S1." Ordered Momiji before a pole can be seen on her hand and changes into a spear which she starts on her attack at the enemies on the deck.

She slashed on the first guy and then, she starts to deflect barrage of bullets from the second guy by rotating the spear before she attacking that guy using spear's rear end at his stomach. She throws the spear at another guy with the grenade launcher which he misfired and shot on their own ship which create massive explosion. Next, Momiji enters the interior of the ship through the hole that been created from the explosion and arriving in front of her objectives.

"Their cargo contains weapons and illegal drugs. Other than the crew, there are no other passengers." Momiji send the information through the intercom after she had scanned the ship's interior.

"It's a sabotage ship. Seize control of the vessel, Momiji." Ordered Endou.

"Roger that." Replied Momiji short before murmures, "You could have told me that earlier."

"Equipment set: K." Ordered Momiji which a sub-machinegun appears on her hand and she starting to shoot at the enemies as she goes towards the ship's control room. She finally enters the control room after passing through the horde of enemies.

"There's nowhere to run. Surrender yourself." Momiji said to the guy which can be identified as the enemy's leader on that ship. The leader hovers his thumb on the trigger of a bomb on his hand while aiming his gun at Momiji when she arrived there.

"That won't get you anywhere. Don't resist anymore." Persuaded Momiji.

As the situation did not change, Momiji throws away her gun and the leader starts to relax his body before Momiji suddenly said "Apport" and dual pistols appeared on her hand which she shot at the gun and trigger on that guy's hand which he drops on the floor.

"I have tried to tell you that it wouldn't help at all." Said Momiji calmly.

When Momiji try to close her distance towards the leader, a shockwave suddenly occur and shaking the ship which caused the two of them to stumbles.

They can seen a white object travel just outside the ship with high velocity before the object quickly disappear.

As Momiji trying to stand up from the stumble, she see that on the leader's hand has the trigger she had knocked off. She tried to stop the leader but the leader just smirked at her before he pushed the button and the ship engulfed in massive explosion.

In the chatroom.

"Ender-san, do you have any information about the message that had been delivered around the world?" Asked one of the people inside the chatroom.

"The Japanese branch has no information yet. I will continue to be cautious and, once I get more information, I will report in." Answered Ender-san.

"Please do, Ender-san." Said the person that asked Ender-san.

"How about the 'Starlight' accident?" Asked another person in the chatroom.

"Except that strange mark which appeared there, the investigation about that event had met the dead-end." Answered Ender-san.

"Alright then, Ender-san. Just be cautious for now." Said the second person.

"OK." Confirmed Ender-san before ended the conversation.
