Chapter 20 Shocking News (Rewrite)

~On Kanda's side, before the kidnapping event.

"Thank you, Chaika." Said Kanda as he walks side by side towards the control room.

"Nevermind~. But you need to learn how to pilot that thing, Kanda." Said Chaika as she waves her hand.

"But...I will not get a cute catgirl to help me later if I learn to pilot this." Said Kanda as he jokes.

When Kanda and Chaika entered Durel's lab, he can see that Kuune also presents inside that room. He said his greeting towards Kuune and Durel before he goes to one of the rooms inside the laboratory. Under Durel's instructions, he does multiple sets of exercises as Durel is taking some data from his exercise.

He spends almost two hours inside that room before he comes out. He wipes out his sweat using a towel that had been given by Kuune before he sits along with others at the table inside the room.

"So, Dr. Durel, what can you find from my data?"

"Hmm...I can see that your training efficiency increase compares to the first time you had tried our facilities previously. I can see that your body starts to adapt faster towards the set of exercises that you had been undergone before." Reported Durel about Kanda's current condition.

Kanda had been trained inside the Mothership after his first visit with Eris where Durel also requests him to let her investigate his body as long as he using the equipment inside the ship. Kanda accepted her request as he also thinks his training on the Earth had met a stalemate and he wants to experience how the training under Catia's technology.

"It's suspicious enough, Ichijou. You already have that much strength in you and we couldn't find any information about your identity although there are news about you in the 'Starlight' event but it's not reliable enough." Said Durel seriously.

"So, Ichijou-kun, do you're really not from this planet?" Asked Kuune as she looks at Kanda.

Kanda nods as he says, "Yes, Captain Kuune."

"Ichijou-kun, can you tell us how you have arrived on this planet as I couldn't see that you have owned any ship that capable to travel across the universe?" Said Kuune as she curious where he came from.

Kanda shakes his head and says, "I'm sorry, Captain Kuune. I couldn't tell you for now but I will talk about this with everyone later. I hope that you can understand this."

Kuune sighs as she says, "Fine. I also had already appointed you as our ambassador so I will trust in you, Ichijou-kun."

They talk for a while after that before Kanda's communication device starts to ring which he picks up that call and he can see Aoi inside the screen.

"Hello, Aoi-chan. Why you have called me right now? Are you having some fun with Eris and Manami?" Greeted Kanda while asking about their day today.

"We have a lot of fun, Kanda-kun, but I'm sorry with what I will tell you from now on." Said Aoi with a smile before her face becomes serious.

Looking at her serious face, Kanda also becomes serious where he asked, "Hmm? Why you say sorry to me, Aoi-chan? What had happened? Is it about Eris?"

As Kanda said that, Kuune and Durel just chuckle while Chaika laughs out loud.

Aoi shakes her head before she says, "No, Kanda-kun...Eris had been kidnapped by an unknown force and one of them is the woman that had been captured by us before during the night's raid. She said her name is Sarah and she said that they allows us to find Eris if we could found her."

After Aoi had said that, suddenly the room becomes silent due to the news that they had received.

Kanda's face slowly changes emotionless and everyone inside the room could feel the chill for awhile before it changes to normal back.

"Are you and Manami are fine, Aoi-chan?" Asked Kanda seriously.

"We don't have any serious injuries except some scratches here and there." Replied Aoi.

Kanda breathes out a relief before he smiles and says, "That's good. I want you two to go back home immediately and treat your injuries first."

"How about Eris, Kanda-kun?" Asked Aoi worriedly.

Kanda smiles as he says, "Don't worry about her, Aoi-chan. She is strong and I know about that. I will make a plan first to find her and we will rescue Eris later. You two just need to treat your injuries first."

"B-But, I want to help you too, Kanda-kun. It's my fault that this accident to have happened." Said Aoi firmly.

"Aoi-chan, it's not your fault and I could guarantee that. Just go home for now with Manami. I will see you soon at the house." Persuaded Kanda as he talks to Aoi.

"Alright, Kanda-kun." Replied Aoi as she nods.

Then, the transmission had been cut out and silence is back to envelop the room and Kanda's rage starts to swell up where everyone can feel it.

"I need you to lend me one of the raid teams so they can cooperate with me later when I try to save Eris." Replied Kanda.

"Do you already know where is Eris had been held currently?" Asked Chaika.

Kanda shakes his head and says, "I don't know but I have learned about some suspicious locations which I had been investigated previously and Eris might have been located at one of these locations."

Kuune listened to Kanda's words and sags, "Sure. I will let you command our three raid teams as that's the maximum number I can lend for you for now."

Kanda nods as he says, "It's enough. I will go back to Earth and check on Manami and Aoi-chan first. When I start the rescue mission, I will inform you later, Captain Kuune."

"Sure, Ichijou-kun. Can you guide him to our raid team's quarters, Chaika? Let team 1, 2, and 3 go with him to the Earth." Said Kuune before she gives her order at Chaika.

"Ok~. Let's go, Kanda." Said Chaika after she salutes at Kuune.

Kanda nods at Chaika before he says, "Farewell, Captain Kuune, Dr. Durel."

"Goodbye, Ichijou-kun./ Bye, Ichijou." Said Kuune and Durel respectively.

Kanda goes out with Chaika to the location of the raid teams that Kuune had mentioned before.

When he arrives at the location, he can see three groups already waiting for them where each group has five personnel. He had been introduced to the leader of each team by Chaika before he is going back home with them and Chaika.

Manami and Aoi has came home 4 hours earlier where as Kanda has arrived at the house, they get immediately get the treatment for their light injuries.

Kanda contacted other people like JACK and Itokazu to the house before he making some plans to rescue Eris while waiting both of them in the house.
