1 Chapter 1 Death by Shock and The System (Rewrite)

Hello, everyone, I'm back. Sorry for the long absence in updating the novel. Thank you for the readers that read my original novel before I'm editing the novel right now. I'm also thankful for the new readers that had started to read this fan-fiction novel currently. For the next chapters, if there is "Rewrite" mentioned at the title, that chapter has been edited by me. Currently, this novel still in editing process so I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

"Yooshhaaaa!!! Finally...I had completed all the quests in this game and unlocked all the characters. Damn! It's so hard!"

A shout can be heard from the bespectacled man with short black hair as he has panda eyes while rising his phone in his dark room.

His current appearance due spending many hours on his phone without sleep where the messy hairstyle and all the instant noodle cups scattered around inside dark room had shown his 'relentless' effort.

The man is Ichijou Kanda, 24 years old where he lives alone in an old apartment which he rented after living in the city. He worked at convenience store as a part-timer. His daily routine is fixed where he started with his work, finish work, eat, playing that damn game, and sleep.

"To think that I spent almost two years to complete this game although not many player currently still play this game anymore." Said Kanda as he raises from his seat and passes through all those pile of noodles cup before reaching the bathroom for toilet break.

The game that he had played is called 'Heroes Destiny' where player need to complete all the quests either main or side quests while unlocked special quest for specific characters. The characters in the game also include any ACG (Anime, Comic, Game) characters in other works beside original characters where player need to increase their affection to unlock their specific quest. Those characters also can help player through the main quest after their affection been risen to max level.

"Well...I'm already completed the game although I almost tempted to use real money to speed up my progress on this game like my friends when they had played the game." Said Kanda as he comes out from toilet break and wipes his face with the towel.

During those two years of playing 'Heroes Destiny', Kanda endure the hardships when playing the game such as those hateful bad rolls in roulette which made him furiously mad and cause him almost breaking his phone. He also receive the same character again and again after struggling to collect those tokens for the heroes exchange in that roulette. Anyway, those experiences finally ended as he had finished the game and those experiences cause him felt eventful albeit frustrating.

"Alright...time to catch sleep as I have morning shift tomorrow." Said Kanda as he prepares the bed although his preparation is just pushing all the things on the bed to those pile of rubbish.

"Aaa...it's nice to lay down on the bed after those hours sitting on the seat." Said Kanda as pleasant smile appeared on his face.

As he try to close his eyes, he heard notification sound from his phone which he opens it and find the notice from the game 'Heroes Destiny'.

He can see a prompt that written "You finally finished all the missions within the game. Do you want to accept new challenges where you can experience new thrill which will shock your whole life?"

Surprised with the notice, Kanda can see that this game has new update where no one else ever heard about it.

Thrilled with that announcement, Kanda pressed "confirm" button and loading screen appears but the loading of the game progress is too slow which cause him almost asleep while waiting as he already exhausted.

After 30 minutes of waiting, the loading of the game has been completed and excitement can be felt from Kanda's face after that completion. Kanda quickly pressed the phone's screen before suddenly strong current surge from his phone and cause him to lose his consciousness.

Before losing his consciousness, he curses, "Damn it! It's literally shock my whole life. I will throw this phone away when I wake up later".

"Urrgghhh...My head...It's painful. Goddamn it!!! That electric shock really extreme. I will throw this phone away." Said Kanda as he throws away the phone beside him before the phone suddenly flying back towards him and hitting his head again.

"DAMN!!! It's not a phone...but a fucking boomerang." Said Kanda as he looks at the phone that laid quietly beside him.

Kanda slowly rises from his bed while holding his head as strong headache hit him either from the electric shock or his phone hitting his head back.

"Ahh! My head!! So...Where am I right now?" Kanda said that before looking around his surrounding after the headache slowly subsides and he had found that he currently at the place where all he can see is white color surrounded him except his bed.

[Welcome Player, You have been selected to undergo new features from 'Heroes Destiny' where you will be experience real-life situation just like when you had played the game previously except you will be experience by yourself later on.]

Kanda has surprised look on his face as the voice suddenly appears within the space he currently resides with. Before he can thinks anything else, the voice continues with its explanation.

[Player will be teleport to any world that exist in any fiction-created world. You need to reach minimum 75% of evaluation grade from the total of 300 points before you can going to the next world.]

Kanda has stunned look as he requires to pass with a certain grade points which is 225 points before he can go to another world. He listening to that voice again as it continues with its explanation.

[Player will be evaluated into three criteria which are the number of mission completed, the duration to complete the mission and the number of character that had reached max relationship.]

[Player also will receive three rental skills and 20 stats point which player can freely allocated to his stats. After player had completed the mission in the first world, the rental skills will be removed but retains those previous stat point and player will starts with new rental skills and 20 stats point combined with any number of free stats point received from the rewards from previous world and the process being repeated to the next world and so on.]

"Wait a minute, can you explain a bit more simple?" Asked Kanda at that unseen voice.

[In the 1st world, player will receives 3 rental skills and 20 (20 + 0) stats point which player may receive 10 stats point after he had completed mission there. So, in 2nd world, player will receive new 3 rental skills and 30 (20 + 10) stats point where 20 stats point are given for every new world and 10 stats point from completion reward from previous world.]

"How about the rewards after I had completed the mission in that world?" Asked Kanda again.

[The rewards are given according to the total score that been evaluated for the player.

225 ~ 249 = 500 SC (Shop Coin)

250 ~ 274 = 1000 SC + 50 stats point

275 ~ 299 = 1500 SC + 50 stats point + 1 item

300 = 2000 SC + 100 stats point + 1 item + 1 skill (permanent)

If player's final score is 280, player can receive total rewards of 1500 SC, 10 stats point and 1 item.

Player also can receive special rewards if he had fulfill certain requirements.]

"Then, do I have any type of support as a player that can help me during that journey?" Asked Kanda about the assistance as a player.

[Of course, player will receive a system that will help you during the journey.]

"May I ask you on how difficult the world that I may arrived later?" Asked Kanda about the world difficulty.

[The world can be divided into 5 levels which level 1 is the easiest and level 5 is the hardest. However, the first world for the player is level 1 before the next world is random between level 1 to level 5. The mission that been provided also different according to the world level. Mission in level 1 world might be easy and quick to be completed while level 5 might be dangerous or time consuming.]

"So...when the mission will be started?" Said Kanda after he digested all the information.

[As long as the player is ready, you will be send immediately and the mission will be started.]

"Do I have anything to be remind later on?" Asked Kanda curiously.

[If the player dies during this journey, the player's existence will be disappear as the player already dead due to electric shock in real world. As long as player do not have any items or skills that may cheat death, player is vulnerable to any type of attack that threaten your life.]

Kanda suddenly becomes pale as he cursed, "Damn it! I will really die later...not that I could complain about as I'm already dead now. I could only hope that I could find something later as an insurance if my life in danger."

[Do you want to start your second life right now? If not, you will continue your journey towards the afterlife.]

"Hell no!" Shouted Kanda before he continues, "Don't worry, I will do it. Please send me to the first world."

[Request has been accepted....Transferring Player...10%...45%...84%...100%...Transfer has completed. Good Luck Player.]

A bright light suddenly enveloped around Kanda before he disappear from that white space.

Later in that white space after Kanda's disappearance, a hazy silhouette can be seen appeared suddenly as it look at the place where Kanda has been transferred to another world.

"Ichirou Kanda, we hope that you are the chosen one that can save everyone here." Said the silhouette before slowly disappear from that place.
