{MO Co. 0 year AMW (After Mushroom War)}
I stood in the deep of a vast ocean, my skeletal army at my side. My sunken eyes glowed with an eerie light as I raised a bony hand, summoning the green fire of the end into existence.
"A catalyst comet," I muttered, my voice a chilling whisper carried by the wind. "The perfect instrument for chaos, which only comes once in a thousand years."
I aimed the fireball at the glowing blue comet hurtling toward Earth. As the fire shot forth, I began the process of absorbing the comet's energy, intending to harness its destructive power for my own purposes. The fireball struck the comet with a blazing fury, but as soon as it made contact, something unexpected happened.
The comet's glow intensified, and the energy it emitted was unlike anything I had ever encountered. It wasn't a force of destruction or chaos; it was pure, harmonious, and serene a force of life and renewal, the exact opposite of my essence.
"No..." I hissed, feeling a searing pain as the comet's energy pushed back against my own. I tried to fight it, summoning more fire, more darkness, more death but it was futile. The comet's speed increased, a brilliant trail of blue light marking its path as it streaked toward me. In a blinding flash, the comet collided with me, engulfing me in its radiant energy.
"AAAGGGHH!"
I screamed, a sound that resonated with ancient malice and despair. My form was pushed against the crust of the Earth spiraling me deeper as the comet continued on its course.
The comet continued to drive me deeper and deeper leaving only a hole in its wake, I knew this was bad I hadn't expected for a comet like this to arrive so I disintegrated my army fueling their power into my own but it was still futile, no matter how much force I put behind it.
I could feel my bony eyes closing, my consciousness being taken to somewhere else, someplace familiar, the last thing I saw was the pieces of the Earth's mantle and crust floating into space.
Moseph's POV
I watched the screens intently, my mind racing with a mixture of dread and fascination.
"What's happening?" I muttered, my eyes glued to the data streaming in. The asteroid had hit the Earth, but contrary to all expectations, the repercussions were minimal. The ground shook, but the shockwaves dissipated quickly. The ocean vaporized around the impact site, but the surrounding land remained mostly intact.
"What in the world..." I said, watching as pieces of Earth's crust and mantle were ejected into space. The sheer force of the impact should have caused catastrophic damage, yet it hadn't. The asteroid's energy readings were unlike anything I had ever seen, a perfect blend of stability and power.
"Run another simulation," I ordered the MO at my side. "I want to understand this. How could something so powerful cause so little damage?"
The MO complied, its mechanical fingers dancing over the controls. The simulations began to run, but every single one came back with the same result, it was an impossibility almost like magic. Yet as I continued to look at the giant chunk that looked like had been bit by a giant mouth my fascination only continued to rise, the water at its sides didn't spill in the hole, like it was being blocked by a giant invisible wall.
"Interesting," I mused, watching as the data continued to flow. "Send an investigative MO there I want to understand how this is happening."
Everything was becoming weirder and weirder as the years passed, first was the Mushroom War, then my son figuring out things which shouldn't have been mechanically possible and now this, the world was changing and I knew it was for the worse.
{Four Months Later}
Nico POV
It had been more than eight months since the last green nuclear warhead dropped, and the results were devastating if my father's words were anything to go by.
I kept on telling him that we should try to save as many humans as possible so our race wouldn't end with us two but over the past four months I was always met with the same single word response, no.
I shook my head trying to get my mind out of the gutter, I had a plan so right now I just needed to work on it.
I stood in my workshop, surrounded by tools, schematics, and the faint hum of machinery. I walked to a container were one of my two personal arc reactors were, my fingers trembled slightly as I held the arc reactor, its golden light as enchanting as always providing me a sense of comfort unlike anything else.
"Time to practice again today," I sighed, my voice barely above a whisper. I placed the arc reactor against my chest, feeling a surge of energy as it connected with my body. With a deep breath, I pressed the reactor twice.
The transformation was immediate. Black and gold nanobots surged from the reactor, spreading across my body and forming the sleek, and in my opinion awesome, Mark L armor. The suit fit me perfectly, it was snug without being overly so, also you would think that millions of an boots writhing across your body would have felt uncomfortable but it honestly felt like a hot running shower.
"FOOTBALL you in here?," I asked, my voice steady despite the excitement coursing through him.
A calm, composed voice responded from within the helmet. [Initialization complete.]
I smiled, I always felt giddy when I heard FOOTBALL'S voice in my helmet, programming him had been such a hassle it felt ecstatic hearing it.
"FOOTBALL run a systems check."
[All systems operational. Power levels stable. Energy depletion basically minimal. Neurons linked to 100% of nano bots.]
"Ok, B.M.O we're going to try this again, if you spray me again and I'm not on fire I'm sending you to the disciplinary MOs." I muttered looking at B.M.O with a small fire extinguisher in his hands, a psychotic smile on his face.
"Yes, Nico."
I nodded, satisfied with FOOTBALL's report and hoping that B.M.O would listen this time. "Good, day 8 flight test. Let's start by activating the thrusters at 10% capacity."
I took a step forward, feeling the suit respond to my movements with incredible precision. I extended both my arms downward, the repulsors on my palms and my feet activating with a low hum.
I started pushing myself of the ground, little by little trying to control my center of gravity, I started going higher and higher before I heard FOOTBALL's voice again, [Sir, you're getting close to the roof.]
"Ok, just go easy Nico, just turn a little bit." I muttered to myself positioning my palm thrusters in front and slighlty above me so as to go back down, before reaching the ground once more.
"Ok getting better at it, it probably won't be long before I can fully use the suit without you, FOOTBALL," I said, a grin spreading across his face.
"Also, B.M.O good job on not spraying me." I added looking at my robot brother with the extinguisher still pointed at me.
"Could you stop doing that, it feels like I'm going to spontaneously combust."
B.M.O just looked at the suit suspiciously before setting down the extinguisher slowly, when I noticed something else six Ns were surrounding me with their own extinguishers.
"Guys, I ain't burning down my room again okay, chill out."
