“Little Ren.” “Yes master?” “I’ve been hearing some things lately.” “Oh, like what?” “For one, an Imperial transport from The Great Yang was surrounded and looted just a few weeks ago. Have you heard about this?” “What? That’s awful! Who would do such a thing?” “Also, I’ve been hearing that someone has been extorting the local businesses on the island. Have you heard about this?” “That certainly is cause for concern.” “Hmmm, someone has likewise been forcing the local pirates to pay a so-called protection fee, they’ve made quite a sum I’ve been told. Have about heard about this?” “These are indeed troublesome times.” “Hmmm, one last thing, apparently all of this was done by one group, they say their leader is quite young.” “Don’t worry master! I’ll get to the bottom of this!” “…..” Shameless! My disciple is shameless!!!

King of the Pirates!

Li Renjie's eyes were sparkling.

How magnificent!

Listening to the story made his blood boil!

He wanted to travel this brand-new world!

Zhang Wei continued.

"When my father first touched the pearl, he told me how he was suddenly bombarded with a string of words in his head. It was then he knew the value of this ship….it had a unique ability that would make it incredibly desirable."

'Hurry! Stop teasing me!' Li Renjie was enthralled. He had to know what made the ship so special!

Zhang Wei looked deeply at the ship before turning to look at Li Renjie.

"It can travel underwater! The occupants need not ever worry about powering it or running out of air! It draws energy from the ocean itself! It's a treasure ship!"

'Hacks! That ship is hacks!' Li Renjie finally understood why the two siblings were having such a hard time. A ship that didn't need any external energy source to travel! That could travel under water and could stay there indefinitely! Treasure! How could they protect it?

"If the ship is so valuable, why hasn't he just taken it by force?" he asked trying to maintain his cool.

Zhang Wei looked at the necklace in his sisters' hands before shifting his attention to the pearl.

"Because of the pearl, it's the heart of the ship, only the person holding it can control the ship. It's not only linked to the ship but also to us. It's something out parents told us, this pearl can never be stolen or taken only gifted. It truly is a treasure and I'm sure that man must know something, otherwise there's no reason why he would want us to willingly hand over our ships."

Li Renjie sat back and feel into deep thought.

This might be a bit out his league for his first foray into the underworld.

Thinking he couldn't help but stare at the ship, then back at the siblings. Remembering the story and looking at the two he felt his heart warm a bit.

Parents who loved their children, siblings who actually helped and looked out for another.

A family.

Was that what it was like?

He sighed before falling back into his thoughts.

[…...]

Closing his eyes he thought back to his plan, he began to restructure and reformulate it and see if he could apply it here.

The siblings and Xueyue remained quite as they could see the serious expression he had on his face. After a few minutes of silence passed Li Renjie opened his eyes and smiled.

"I can help you, but we can't start until the evening."

"Is there any particular reason?" Zhang Wei was excited after hearing Li Renjie could help but due to his nerves still couldn't help but ask. He really wanted to resolve this problem as soon as possible.

Li Renjie said nothing before slowly looking up at the bright blue sky.

"Too sunny."

::White Lotus Headquarters::

"Dammit! If I see that little brat or Zhang Wei again, I'll kill them both!" Baldy was fuming as he stood outside the main gates. Big lanky and little lanky also could not hide the anger in their eyes!

They had been assaulted and beaten by a child!

If word got out, they would be nothing more than walking punchlines!

They had awoken in the empty alley and seeing as how Zhang Wei was probably still with that little freak they instead decided to come see if they could get some proper assistance. After all that little kid was definitely not normal.

As the trio approached the gate, two spears crossed their path and barred their entry.

"Failures are not welcome," one guard said coldly before motioning for the trio to leave.

The men wanted to respond but feeling the aura emitting from the guards they held their tongues and left quietly. They had no idea how they had been exposed so fast!

At the very top of the White Lotus headquarters a man about twenty-six years old stood by a massive desk and looked out the window. He was adorned in a simple black silk robe, on the back, a white lotus.

His dark brown hair was cut short, and his brown eyes were calm, overall he looked quite normal. If one had to point out a special trait about the man, it would be the scar that stretched from the right side of his chin all the way down the left side of his neck.

"It would appear using them was a bad move, forgive my incompetence," the young man said calmly.

"No matter," a deep voice responded.

The voice came from the massive man sitting behind the desk.

Qiao Haoqiang.

"Our image is important," the young man smiled before looking at the area just outside the window.

"Kill them."

The space in the sky seemed to undulate slightly before returning to normal.

Qiao Haoqiang remained indifferent as he continued to read the papers in front of him.

"Boss, that child possess a blood lineage, I've never seen it before," the young man spoke as he made his way to the front of the desk.

"Grade?"

"Further assessment is required."

"Affiliation?"

"From the talk he had with Zhang Wei it would appear he has a master and comes from a sect. However…I don't believe it, it's far too grand."

"Come," the young man spoke before his shadow wriggled slightly. From the shadow a figure cloaked entirely in tight black clothes appeared.

"Speak."

"Yes."

The shadow went on to describe the boys' strange abilities as well as the conversations he had with Zhang Wei regarding his master and the members that were supposedly with him.

"He also had a very powerful talisman with him, the spatial fluctuation emitting from it were frightening to say the least," the shadow finished.

Qiao Haoqiang listened before slowly raising his head up to look at the young man.

The shadow suddenly felt a massive pressure descend on it. Unable to withstand the burden it quickly fell to one knee!

Th young man remained upright with a smile on his face as if he felt nothing.

Qiao Haoqiang watched quietly before nodding ever so slightly.

"I'll leave it your discretion. You have one month; no damage must be done to the ship. Similarly, look further into the child's blood lineage."

"No problem," the young man responded with the same smile.

Qiao Haoqiang quietly retracted his gaze and returned to his paperwork.

The young man and shadow both felt the pressure lift, the two bowed before turning and leaving.

Thud!

The moment they left the office and the doors shut the shadow could no longer stand up!

The pressure that man exerted was immense.

Heavy!

It was far too heavy!

"Not bad, maintaining your composure for that long is commendable, "the young man smiled before walking away with his hands behind his back. The shadow seeing him leave quickly regained its nerve before following behind and sinking into the young man's shadow.

Back at the Zhang Port Li Renjie was inside the small library in the main house, Xueyue was seated next to him and would curiously look up at him now and again.

Li Renjie, unaware continued to read.

He had been flying blind, he needed to at least get some basic information before planning his moves. In his hands was a book labeled 'Sapphire Archipelago'.

It was geography book.

'Seven islands huh.'

'And I'm currently on Azure island, I see.'

Looking at the map he noticed that the seven islands all varied in sizes, some were so massive that calling them and island didn't feel right; while others, although not as large were still enormous.

'Azure island, stretching over eight hundred and seventy miles from east to west and about six hundred miles from north to south, it was quite sizable. Situated near the center of the archipelago its location was primed for trade and business.'

The more Li Renjie read the more his eyes sparkled.

This place was perfect!

Lots of money to extort!

Looking at the archipelago he couldn't help but think that having a fleet of ships would be ideal. It would be perfect for exerting power as well as for business and trade. The more he thought about it the more he couldn't get the idea out of his mind.

Closing his eyes, his imagination began to run free.

A young man stands at the bow of a grand ship.

A salty ocean breeze blows past his face as his white and silver robes billow in the wind.

The ship is magnificent and without equal, on its sail an image of a bright silver moon!

Behind the ship a fleet of over ten thousand ships follow devotedly.

The young man looks behind him and sees his partners, allies, and friends.

A smile can be seen on his face.

Looking forward, his eyes are bright and hopeful.

Forward, ever forward!

Li Renjie suddenly stood up!

Unable to contain his emotions he shouts.

"I'm going to be king of the pirates!"

"Eek!" Xueyue jumped in fright at his sudden outburst.

[Are you trying to get us sued?!]

The system lashed out!

This fool would be the end of them!

Li Renjie however didn't seem to notice anything as his mind was racing.

He continued to dream.

'I can do this!'

Thump!

His heart began to beat clearly.

'I can do this!'

Thump!

Thump!

The system and Xueyue quickly noticed the changes in Li Renjie.

His eyes were wide open, and his breathing was becoming erratic!

The blue crescent moon on his forehead was beginning to shine!

Thump!

Thump!

Thump!

"A-are you ok?" Xueyue wanted to get closer but wasn't sure how. She had never experienced anything like this, and still didn't know how to act around him.

The system however, wanted to grow legs and leap up in joy!

[Good! Good! Yes! Let the power flow through you! Hahaha!]

'I can do this!!!'

Thump!

Thump!

Thump!

Thump!

Thump!

Xueyue couldn't help but squint her eyes!

The crescent moon was beginning to become blinding it was shining so bright.

Just then!

Thud.

Li Renjie passed out.

More pieces updated, mostly in the earlier chapters.
