Trouble

"Allen, the Dean asked me to inform you that tomorrow, you should go to his office so that you will take your ability test," Sam said to Allen as he escorted him back to the hostel.

Sam had patiently taken Allen to every possible place he could take him, making sure to not take him to the prohibited places. The classes, the dining hall, the school infirmary, the teachers' lodge, the practice hall, and the dueling field — These were the only places that students were allowed to access. Any place other than these mentioned places was prohibited to the students. But Allen wasn't the kind of person who would obey such a rule, inwardly, he was waiting for the day he would go and exploit those prohibited places and see why students aren't allowed to go there.

"What is an ability test?" He asked Sam.

"Well, an ability test is a test that is carried out to know what your ability is. For example, some kids are born with the ability to control fire or water, or the ability to hear heartbeats just like mine," Sam explained.

"So you have the ability to hear heartbeats? Can you hear mine?" Allen asked him.

"Yes, I have the ability to hear all sounds of heartbeats even when they are miles away from me. And yes, I can hear yours but the thing is that yours is not consistent. It doesn't sound like the heartbeat of a human being," Sam replied and glanced at him to see his reaction but he was calm which surprised him.

"Alright. I'll be heading back to my room, thank you for showing me around," Allen replied and went his way.

While he was gone, Sam stood there for a moment as he watched him leave. Once he was gone, he placed his hand on his chin and sighed. "I can swear with my life that you aren't a human being, I can't be mistaken about it," he mumbled to himself and sighed again before leaving.

Inside the hostel, Allen was heading to his room when someone approached from behind and tried to touch him on his shoulder but he abruptly moved to the side and caught the person's hand.

"What do you want?" Allen asked the boy while staring angrily at him. The boy tried to pull his hand away but Allen was holding him firmly, making it difficult for him to pull out his hand. "Answer me!" He demanded, adding more pressure on his grip. He believed that the boy wouldn't have tried to attack him if he didn't have an ulterior motive, he had to find out what his reason is for trying to attack him from behind.

"Let's duel! I'm challenging you to a duel!" The boy, a slightly tall person with dark blue eyes and silver hair replied. He had a glint of disappointment on his face which Allen didn't fail to notice.

"I believe this isn't why you tried to attack me but whatever it is, I don't care. I'm in no mood to play with you, go find someone else to play with," Allen rejected the boy's offer right away and let go of his hand and made to turn and leave but the boy abruptly walked to the front and blocked his path.

"I'm also not in the mood to play, this duel is a duel of supremacy. If you win, I'll be your subject and will carry out your orders and if I win, you'll be my subject and only obey me. How do you see it?" The boy asked him.

"See, I'm not interested in whatever duel you want to have. Leave my way or I'll force you to do so!" Allen coldly replied to the boy and pushed him out of the way. He headed to his room and was about to open the doors when he began to hear multiple footsteps that were approaching his direction. He halted and turned to his right only to see a blue-haired boy walking toward him with the silver-haired boy and some other boys following him behind.

"Didn't I tell you that I'm not interested in dueling with anyone?" Allen asked him with an irritated look on his face.

"Unfortunately, that decision is no longer yours to make," the silver-haired boy walked to the front and replied to him. "This is Matthew, my boss and one of the students I believe you were advised to stay away from. It's his decision for the both of us to duel and if you don't do it, you'll have to leave this school first thing tomorrow morning. What do you say?"

"Are you guys dumb? That I'm not interested in dueling with anyone, what is so difficult in understanding those words?" Allen asked. He was so pissed off by their constant disturbances that he was beginning to lose his cool. ' Hey, Allen. You got to calm yourself down, be more reserved and cold!' He told himself inwardly and then exhaled.

Seeing that he was beginning to get upset, the silver-haired boy chuckled slightly and continued. "This is the only way we welcome new students into this school. Besides, you were added in the middle of a term which has never been done before and it is more reason why we must test your capabilities today."

"You all should fucking get lost!" Allen said to them and pushed open his door and went in, slamming it right at their faces.

"Bastard! What does he think he is?" The blue-haired boy with golden eyes asked in anger. He was furious about how stubborn Allen was and how he had disregarded him completely, no one has ever done it as far as he could remember.

"Boss, there should be no need for you to be worked up about him, leave him to me and I'll gladly teach some lessons for you," The silver-haired boy said to him.

"You better get it done, don't keep me waiting for too long or you know what will happen if you do," the blue-haired boy said and left with the other boys.

As he left, the silver-haired boy gazed at Allen's room and sighed. "You must have this duel with me because I also don't want to be forced out of the school or my parents will kill me," he said and left.
