Going To Rain

The next day, everyone went to their classes and during those periods, Allen would glance at Zane and sigh. Unlike the boy, he hadn't said a word to Allen and it was because of what he did and said to him the day before.

' Should I just talk to him? He's the only one ready to stick by my side like glue. And he's pretty much useful to me though ' He thought while staring at the boy. Just as Zane had told him, he was the only one among the students that could be friends with him. The rest were either scared of him or angry with him, and so none wanted to be friends with him. So, after thinking about this for a while, he decided to talk to him again.

After the class ended, the other students left but he stayed behind to wait for Zane who was still busy with his thing.

"Hey, when are you going to be done? I'm getting tired waiting for you," he commented after he had waited for almost an hour.

"I plan to make you wait for longer but I'm also tired of sitting here, doing nothing," Zane replied with a pissed-off expression.

"If you are tired, why did you then continue to sit here, pretending to be busy?" Allen asked him while trying to suppress his laughter.

"Because I need to teach someone like you a lesson!" Zane replied with a scoff.

"Funny enough, you ended up punishing yourself," Allen replied.

"I don't care as long as I have done what I wanted. By the way, what do you want with me?" Zane asked him.

"You are pretty useful to me so I will let you stick around me but never try to pry into my personal life because the day you do, that will be the end for you," Allen replied.

Hearing what Allen said, Zane gazed at him and scoffed. "Sooner or later, I'll know everything about you. It's just a matter of time," he replied and stood up with his bag. "I feel that you need something from me, what could that be?" He asked Allen.

"You have pretty good instincts..." Allen commented and paused afterward. He moved a bit closer to Zane and moved his face close to his ears. "Take me to Rain Damon, I've got business with her," he whispered.

"Huh!" Zane exclaimed in shock. "What business do you have with someone else's girlfriend?" He asked Allen.

"That's not your business. Remember, do not try to pry into my business or you'll lose your life because of it. Just take me to her class, that's all," Allen replied and began to walk out of the class.

Zane rushed and followed after him. He was dying to know why Allen was asking for Rain, yet, he could not continue to ask him about it or it'll be asking for trouble. He would never forget the moment when Allen grabbed him by the neck and pushed him to the wall — The look in his eyes and the tone of his voice all sent chills down his spine. He promised himself that he won't have any more things to do with him but for a reason, he still couldn't stop talking to him.

"You are the one leading the way but why are you behind me?" Allen asked him, pulling him out of his thoughts.

"T-That's because you are walking too fast for me to follow up," he replied.

Allen sighed and stopped walking but unknown to him, Zane was also walking fast and so the moment he halted, the latter was forced to hit his forehead on his back. "Can you look where you are going?" He asked, seeming upset.

"It's your fault for walking too fast," Zane replied, not ready to let himself take the blame.

"Then go to the front," Allen retorted and pushed him to the front. "Now, lead the way!" He ordered and the latter had no choice but to do as he was commanded. ' Hmmm, does he ever say no? ' Allen thought as he followed behind Zane. For some reason, he didn't like the way the boy would do everything he told him to without refusing. "Hey, stop there!" He said again.

"Now what?" Zane asked as he halted and turned around.

"Come here!" Allen told him again.

"Jeez," Zane grunted and went closer to Allen. "What is it this time?" He asked him, seeming frustrated by how Allen kept ordering him around.

"If you are pissed off, then stop doing everything I tell you to," Allen said to him.

"Do you think it's that easy?" Zane asked him with a scoff.

"What do you mean?" Allen asked.

"It's you again!" A female voice said behind them.

Allen knew who it was and so he scoffed and turned around. "I was actually on my way to see you, now that you are here, it'll save me the trouble of unwanted attention," he said to her.

"After disrespecting me the other day, you dare stand before my face to spurt rubbish? Aren't you scared of going down the drain, you and your entire family?" Rain asked him with an angry face. She was furious because he had openly humiliated her in the presence of so many students — No one has ever done that to her, not even once.

"Point of correction, I don't have a family... I'm just a lone soul in this world, so don't bother using my family to threaten me," Allen replied to her.

For a moment, the gaze in Rain's eyes softened a bit hearing that he had no family. She didn't know what might have happened to them but bringing them up before him was so wrong — It was as though she was indirectly opening his old wounds again.

Seeing the look in her eyes, Allen frowned. "I didn't ask you to feel pity for me, I'm already used to being left behind by everyone I care about because it isn't a new thing. I don't need your compassion, rather, I'll be needing something else," he said, smirking as he said the last sentence.

"What do you want from me?" Rain asked him calmly. She had already forgotten that she was angry with him or else she would be yelling by now.

"Let me take you somewhere. Follow me," Allen said to her and began to lead the way. Rain was hesitant to follow him at first, but then, she shrugged her shoulders and followed after him.

"What about me?" Zane had been standing there for long, no one was looking in his direction and so he felt neglected. "Can I tag along?" He asked seeing them walk away without saying something to him.

"You can go back, we'll talk tomorrow," Allen replied to him.

"What? Seriously? I've just been dumped because of a girl?" Zane asked with a surprised gaze. He looked just like a guy who was dumped by his girlfriend. "You'll still require my help and I swear, I won't help. If I do it, let me be sucked dry by a vampire!" He yelled at Allen's back and stormed away.

Meanwhile, Allen heard everything he said and chuckled inwardly. ' Such an appetizing offer, huh?' He thought and licked his lips.
