Allen opened his eyes and the first thing they caught was the old roof that hung above him. He raised his upper body and looked around him, realizing that he was in a room, he got up in shock.
"I thought I had died, why am I here?" He asked in an alarmed tone.
[You are yet to fulfill your destiny so it isn't time for you to die yet] The system replied.
Taken by surprise, Allen took a fighting stance while looking around the room in fright. "Who are you? What do you want from me or do you come to kill me again?" He asked.
[I'm your system, sent to guide you until you reach the apex level of your life. Check your status and see for yourself] The system replied and showed Allen a red transparent screen.
"This is like the systems I've read in my previous life," Allen muttered while he gazed at the red screen. As he checked his status, his eyes fell on his race and this got him surprised. "Hold on, when did I become a vampire?" He asked.
[Since you came into this world. To fulfill your destiny in this world, you had to become a vampire] The system replied.
"This is great. Finally, God did hear my prayer and granted my wish," Allen said with joyful tears.
[You are happy? This is unexpected] The system said
"Because I desire to never become a human again. Humans are despicable," Allen replied as a deep look of hatred appeared on his face.
[I see...]
"By the way, why is my blood level low?"
[To fully transform into a vampire, your blood was used. Now, all you have to do is drink blood and replenish your energy]
[First task: Kill any monster you see and consume its blood]
Seeing the first task he was given, Allen looked around for some clothes and put them on as he was naked, and after covering himself, he left the small old house. As he went outside, he noticed that it was dark but because of his form, he could see perfectly like it was day.
"How in the world would someone live in the middle of nowhere?" He asked himself as he looked around. He was currently in the middle of a dark forest with nothing but canopies of trees, the sounds of animals, and the splashing of water which seemed to be nearby.
As he looked around, two pairs of red eyes fell on him and soon, they began to approach him from among the thick bushes at the front. Because of how thick and long the bushes were, Allen couldn't see whatever that coming at him until the thing was some steps away from him.
"What in the world is that?" Allen was startled by what he was seeing.
The monster looked like a monkey with silver feet and a tail, it had two red eyes and a mouth but it had no ears. There were holes on his face which Allen guessed to be ear holes.
[That is a silver monkey, kill it and drink its blood]
Allen didn't know how to fight, he was clueless with no fighting experience but he didn't want to give up. Not when his blood level was only 2 percent.
"Come on, fight me!" He yelled to the silver monkey who responded by lunging at him with its right claw out and ready to attack him but he surprisingly dodged the attack by moving to the side. "I was able to dodge that, it's a relief — Huh?" Just as he finished his sentence, the monster lunged at him again, swiping his claws at him.
This monster was fast and fragile, making it quite difficult for Allen to keep up with the continuous attacks. Coupled with the fact that his blood level is low, he isn't able to use all his strength.
Soon, the monster used its tail and knocked him away until he hit his back against the wall of the small house.
"Argh!" He groaned and tried to stand up but he couldn't do so.
[Blood level: 1/10]
[You won't be able to stand up and fight, consume blood in the next twenty seconds, or something bad will happen to you]
"The hell? How am I supposed to kill the monster and drink his blood without being able to stand up?" Allen asked himself with a frown on his face. Just as he was busy in thought, the monster walked to him and tried to attack him.
Only then did he remember that he had abilities to use.
"Stop!" As his eyes glowed red, he commanded the monster and surprisingly, it stopped attacking him with its claws hanging in the air. "Get back!" He commanded the monster again and it obeyed him by moving away from him. "This is easier than I thought," he mumbled with a smile on his face. The smile wasn't all that impressive, it was as though he was forcing himself to smile — After many things that happened in his past life, he never smiled not for once.
[Kill the monster]
Allen raised himself and approached the monster with his claws grown to an amazing length and his canines longer like that of a monster. He grabbed the monster by the neck and pulled it out effortlessly, causing the blood to spatter around and on him. A drop of blood touched him on the lips and he licked it, just as he did that, his eyes widened, and he didn't know when he began to drink the monster's blood.

Allen stopped drinking the monster's blood and then picked up the body as he stood up and walked back into the house. There was a small kitchen by the side and so he took the dead monster and went inside.
