I'm glad I listened when he told me the world would drown. I'm glad I prepared. I'm glad I built this boat.

But

I'm sad I didn't tell them. I'm sad that they were left behind. I'm sad that I couldn't wait.

Or maybe a better word is devastated. Yes. I am devastated.
