Jessica and the head

There once was a little girl called Jessica. She lived with her parents in a little house near a forest. Her parents were always saying to her, 'Jessica, You must never go into the forest on your own.' Now Jessica was a good girl, but one day, she forgot everything her parents had said and wandered into the forest. She wandered about looking at the little plants and the big trees and the animals, and didn't remember that her parents had said that she must not go into the forest on her own.

After a while, Jessica saw a head on the ground. She stopped and looked at it, but she thought it was very strange, so she said to the head, 'Hello, what brought you here?" But the head didn't reply. She asked again, "what brought you here"? The head turned and said, talking brought me here". Jessica thought it was a very strange thing to say and she decided to tell the king about the head in the forest. She ran all the way to the palace to see the king.
