CHAPTER 3

"Luca, do you think mother would get mad knowing that father replaced her?" I said softly, suddenly i felt his hand to the back of my head as he lets me rest to his shoulders. "The queen would be sad indeed, but she wants the people to be happy so no matter what there's no other choice, besides, she's gone Amari." I look down as he said that, truth hurts, royalties don't get what they want when they wanted it, they always ask for other people's opinion. As the night started to go deeper the people in the hall starts yelling and cheering, celebrating for the new queen,

Luca and I just sat on the bench looking at the fountain and i started to feel sleepy,

"Hey, what are you doing?"

i woke and got confused of what was happening. "Where am i?" I stood up and saw people wearing weird clothes and looking so different. "What's got into you? We're in the middle of business Miya! Get up and hurry!" A lady stood in front of me pulling me towards a huge door , i got very confused of what was happening, was i not sleeping in the garden with Luca? Was it not the king and queens wedding? She opens the door and to my surprise it was full with clothes and shoes, i looked at the lady and told her. " I am not miya, i am Amari, princess Amari." She laughed and looked me, what's funny? "Miya? Did you hit your head or drank a lot of beer last night?" She continued to look for clothes. When she finished and spotted the clothing she liked , she turns towards me and started telling me to strip off. "What?!" To my amazement she pulled my gown, "what are you doing you are ruining my gown!" I shouted at her then she laughed again. "What gown are you saying miya? You're wearing your pajamas silly!" I looked at myself and i wasn't wearing my gown anymore .. what was going on? What's happening? She started to strip me again. "Stop." I said stopping her to touch me. " Stop!". I said annoyingly as she still continue what she was doing. "I said stop!"

"Your highness!" A sudden loud voice came to me and woke me up. I was dreaming? I opened my eyes and saw Mr. Gavin. He looked worried and started to feel my forehead, " are you alright? Tell me what's wrong? Are you hurt? Did something happened to you?" He said looking into my eyes panicking if iwas not fine, i looked deep into those beautiful eyes and saw how charming he was. "Tell me!" He shouted, we both got shocked on what he did then he took off his hands to my shoulders and calmed his self down. I look at my surroundings and saw everything was in its place but where was Luca? " Uhm, where's Luca?" He froze as he heard me looking for Luca. He turn towards me standing still, " he went in for the banquet your highness." After saying that he left me. Again.

I was left alone still sitting on the bench wondering what that dream was about, the lady, the place, and the clothing. Is this the end of the world? I laugh at myself thinking it was the end of the world. Is it? And then i thought of it again.

PRINCE LUCA'S P.O.V

I went inside the hall and left Amari sleeping in the garden

a few moments ago..

i was feeling hungry when Amari fell asleep on my shoulders i was not going to leave her when i saw Mr. Gavin's shadow standing behind the bush, he was going to leave when I called him. "Can you stay here and take a look of Amari, i need to eat and i can't leave her here." I told him as he looks at her, "of course your highness." Happy of his reply i gave her to him he sat beside her and sat still as Amari was so deep into her sleep. How beautiful.

"Aah! There you are prince Luca!" I turned around as i saw the king, i bowed and greeted him.

"Good evening your highness, this night is yours truly." I said smiling. He patted my shoulders and smiled. "Thank you Luca, did you enjoy the night , there are beautiful ladies around the corner my dear." He said whispering to my ears, i look around and saw some looking at me i smiled to them, "your highness, there is no other beautiful lady than your daughter." I said shyly, he smiled wider and held my shoulder, "son, i know i can count on you!" We both laugh and started talking more.

We were about to get drinks when the queen came and stopped our talking, "how a lovely young man you are." She said gesturing me. "Pleasant night your highness." I greeted her and looked away. "My love, where have you been? I've been looking for you every where." I heard the queen telling the king as she moves closer to him. Is she making a scandal? Disgusting. I turn myself to the king , "your highness, i shall take my leave." I was about to leave when someone took my hand. I turned my back and saw the queen's hand, i looked at the king confusingly. "Can you please dance with me to the ball?" She said softly wanting me to dance with her. I looked at her and smiled, a fake smile i must clear. "Sure, your highness." I took her hand and slowly walked her in the middle of the ball, people slowly made way for us , i took her right hand and placed my left hand to the side of her waist. Then the music started playing slow music. We swayed to the sounds. Suddenly the queen leaned in closer to me. "I must know you do not like that i am the queen." She said in a kow voice, she sounded different, i looked at her to make sure it was her, "what?" I said confused. She smiled, rubbing my shoulder, " young man, lying is bad." She looked into my eyes and i saw her, how evil she was. I found you. I smiled, "well, to my surprise you are not what i expected to be your highness." I said softly, i hear her gritting her teeth. "Well perhaps i am better than the late queen. Very stubborn my child very weak she is, and very dumb." I got furious when she said that , i was going to leave when the king patted my shoulder. " May i?" He said smiling asking for the queen's hand. I calm myself down and smiled to him. "All yours." I bowed and gave him her hand. Then i left the ball.
